Located on 114th Avenue between 80th street and 82nd street
NW 114th Avenue Park will cover about 18 acres
History of NW 114th Avenue Park
NW 114th Avenue Park is conceived as a place in which the community can
gather to enjoy sports, cultural arts, and nature in a safe environment that is
representative of the beautiful City of Doral
Land was purchased by the City of Doral.
Final land purchase for park occurred in late 2010.
NW 114th Avenue Park:
• On February 19th Wannemacher Jensen Architects
was selected as the top shortlisted firm for
RFQ #2013-29 for the Engineering Services and
Related Disciplines for NW 114th Ave Park.

History of Doral North Park
Parkland acquired in two phases: 2007 (East) and 2009 (West)
o Land was purchased by the City from Atlas I, II, and III. Now under ownership of Doral Commons.
o City entered into a Settlement Agreement (June 2006)
Florida Communities Trust – Florida Forever Program (2009)
o Purchase west parcel (15 acres)
o $3,613,420 (40% reimbursement)
o Certain amenities and activities must be built/completed on-site
o Completion of Management Plan requirements pending
Doral North Park:

• Drainage Easement and Mining Agreement with
Doral Commons (2012) Resolution No. 12-130
o 12 acres lake and wetland
o Doral Commons to provide fill material derived
from lake for park. Cost will be split between
City and Developer
GRANT
• Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant (FY 2013
– 2014)
o $200,000 (50-50 match)
o Must be completed by 2017
o Agreement stipulates certain amenities within
park
