Good for Jobs, Good for the Environment, and Good for the Local Economy. Community Engagement at Buckeye – Perth Amboy Terminal Buckeye Partners has a record of being a good neighbor and responsible operator in communities where we operate across the United States and the Caribbean. Our work in Perth Amboy and Woodbridge, N.J., provides just one example of our commitment to working with the community. Since purchasing a former Chevron site in Perth Amboy, and Hess’s assets in nearby Woodbridge, Buckeye has partnered with both communities and supported various local nonprofits and charitable organizations, including Perth Amboy’s annual July 4th fireworks display, Concerts By The Bay, Raritan Bay Medical Center, and other civic organizations. Last year, Buckeye made a significant financial contribution to NJ’s Green Acres Fund, which was used by Perth Amboy to purchase property for a new community park and recreation area. In addition, Buckeye’s Perth Amboy terminal was the host for NJ’s first and only statewide fire emergency drill, which consisted of more than 75 state fire departments and emergency responders. The State of NJ’s Department of Homeland Security has included Buckeye’s New York harbor assets in Middlesex County, NJ, as part of their overall emergency response network.
