are not disruptive. This is a six week course. Thursdays, Apr. 16 to May 21. CMH Music Room, 4 to 4:50 p.m. Class fee, $100 plus $5 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class. Class minimum 6 students.

The following classes are designed for students to be dropped off without parent/guardian observation. Parents/guardians are invited to attend classes during the final week’s performances.

Creative Ballet for ages 4 to 6 with Sara CoileyA joyful introduction to ballet class! Let’s explore ballet skills with Miss Sara with props, instruments and creativity! Exploring beginning ballet skills through dance concepts nurtures the whole dancer. Musicality, improvisation and skill development are all a part of this developmentally appropriate ballet class. Clothing: Girls—dance clothes such as leotards, tights, dance skirts or shorts worn over leotard and tights, ballet shoes, hair should be pulled back from the face. Boys—sweatpants, shorts, tights, or leggings, t-shirts, ballet shoes. Thursdays, Apr. 16 to June 11 (No Class 6/4). HL Cafeteria, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Class fee, $48 plus $5 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class. Max 12 students.

Non-Competitive Co-ed Adult Volleyball with Kristie CarlCome play an enjoyable game of volleyball with other adults! All skill levels encouraged. Rally serving, teams switched up every three games of the night for non-stop fun. Tuesdays and Thursdays Apr. 14 to Jun. 11. NLMS Gym, 7 to 9 p.m. Class fee, $25 (one game per week); $40 (two games per week). Drop-ins $5 per session.

Water Aerobics at Lake Stevens High School Join us for water aerobics at the Lake Stevens High School Pool. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 4 to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 8 to 9 p.m. Saturday, 9 to 10 a.m. Aerobic admission (per session): Adults 18 and over, $4; seniors, age 55+, $2.50; youth/disabled, $3.

Zumba Fitness with Kara PeeblesZumba fuses hypnotic musical rhythms and tantalizing moves to create a dynamic workout system designed to be FUN and EASY TO DO! Tuesdays and Thursdays Apr. 14 to Jun. 11. NLMS Cafeteria, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Class fee, $6 (punch cards available).

Pilates with Kristen Hoffman–NEW!Using a floor mat, this class focuses on basic Pilates principles: core strength, increased flexibility, breath control and correct alignment to improve posture. Every class ensures that the body is challenged in new ways with simple choreography and clear instruction, which makes the class accessible to both beginners that haven’t exercised in years to people who exercise regularly. Mondays April 13 to June 8. SC Gym, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Class fee, $80

K-9 MannersBasic Dog Obedience with Kim Dailey Kim Dailey will teach dog and handler skills to help create a good team. A fun class to get started with a puppy (four-months-old or older) or an older dog that needs to learn some basic commands such as sit, stay, down and more. All dogs must be up-to-date on required shots. The instructor reserves the right to dismiss any dog/owner from class based on aggressiveness or inability to cooperatively participate in the class. Choose one session: Tuesdays, April 14 to May 19 or May 26 to June 30. 6 to 7 p.m. LSMS Aux Gym. Class fee, $75.

Advanced Dog Obedience with Kim Dailey This class is for the dog and handler who have completed the basic class. We will work on polishing previous commands and adding some new ones and working towards off-leash. All dogs must be up-to-date on required shots. The instructor reserves the right to dismiss any dog/owner from class based on aggressiveness or inability to cooperatively participate in the class. PLEASE NOTE:When children not registered in a Community Education class accompany parents to class, the district’s liability coverage is inappropriate because those children are not authorized to be in the facility at that point in time. We ask that you not bring your children to class with you unless they are a registered member of the class. Thank you for your cooperation in our continued effort to make these classes as productive, beneficial and fun as possible.

Enrollment is limited for most classes, so register early. You can register by mail or in person. All aquatic classes & activities require in-person registration at the Lake Stevens High School Pool. We have tried to indicate those classes requiring an additional expenditure for supplies and materials.
