DISTRIBUTING THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Sprucing up the Classroom Everyday after lunch Rotations every week Dusting, organizing books, vacuuming ,watering
plants ,throwing out trash ,feeding pets…etc.
Standing in Line Class will help decide what we will look like in line Responsible Helper at the End ( rotations) Everyone will have the chance to be the helper

BEGINNING AND END When students arrive:
Place homework in specified locationHave Independent Study Time Catch up on HomeworkWork aheadStudyRead a book
If they need assistance : Raise their hand but keep silent
When students leave school for the day: Space must be clean and organized
RESTROOM AND WATER TIME
No restroom or water time during Direct Instruction
One person at a time
Take Hall or Restroom pass
TRANSITION TIME 5 minute break will be given between
subjects : Drink water Use the restroom Put materials away Stretch Give teacher time to get ready
Students are expected to: Use appropriate voice level Be respectful and stay on task Be ready to start once time is over
RULES Students will help make classroom rules Teacher rules include:
No violence –verbal or physicalNo inappropriate language No weapons of any sort (even paper ones)
Students will be encouraged to be the best person they can be from the beginning.
CONSEQUENCES Consequence

Consequence: Consequence Jar
Consequence: Letter to parents Lose privilege
Verbal warning Not focusing on task Disturbing others Did not follow a procedure
Minors Deliberately breaking a rule Two or more verbal warnings
Majors Break a Teacher Rule Two or more Minors
HOPEFULLY… Students will bond in such a way that
we do not have any major issues
2 weeks will help deal with potential behavior management issues
Students will understand that we are a community and all need to be good citizens

Exceptional behavior along with school work
