Main Menu – The main menu is reorganized and easier to use Change Status – Changing your status is now available from the Main
Menu Auto-Play – Automatically plays new messages when you log in Slow Down or Speed Up Messages – During message playback,
slow down or speed up messages as you listen Out of Office Greeting – Set a temporary greeting with a return date.
A temporary greeting will not delete your standard greeting. When deactivated reverts back to your standard greeting
Announcement Only – Allows you to play your greeting to callers but does not allow callers to leave a message (This might be helpful if your out of the office for an extended period of time)

Service Center at 8-6565 Option 2 To change the Communité - MIC passcode go to
www.myum.miami.edu & log on with your CaneID & passcode. Click on “Voicemail Information” located under the “Personal & Biographical Info” in the lower right corner of the MyUM home page:

Press 3 to change your status 1 Available 2 Away from Desk 3 At Lunch - return time 4 Do Not Disturb 5 Gone Home 6 In a Meeting - return time & date 7 Out of the Office - return time & date 8 Out of Town - return time & date 9 On Vacation - return time + Working at Home
Enter the time in military format. For example, 0830 (8:30am) or 1700 (5:00pm).

2 Change PasscodeA valid passcode contain 4 – 10 digits. Enter your new passcode followed by #. Enter your new passcode once more to confirm.

2 Sort messages To hear oldest messages first, press 1 To hear newest messages first, press 2

Personal Groups
If you regularly send messages to the same group of Communité - MIC users and/or personal contacts, this can save you time.
You can use personal groups to broadcast voicemail messages or forward voicemail messages, and faxes to the members of these personal groups.

To use the Communité - MIC Web Access you must first register & “claim” your mailbox. Go to www.myum.miami.edu & log on with your CaneID & passcode
Click on “Voicemail Information” located under the “Personal & Biographical Info” in the lower right corner of the MyUM home page:

broadcast voicemail messages or forward voicemail messages and faxes
Personal Contacts – allows you to add non-MIC users. You can dial personal contacts, forward messages, and add them to personal groups
MIC Directory - allows you to search for MIC Users by name or telephone number

◦Options: Forward Fax–sends faxes to a designated fax
machine after it sends a copy to your Inbox Telephone Interface– control prompts, set
greetings, prioritize messages and message information play back
Operator Target Number - is the number a caller is transferred to when they press '0‘ while listening to your greeting
Change Passcode – change your Dial-in passcode
