Preface

PAAMS Workshops complement the regular program with new or emerging trends ofparticular interest connected to multi-agent systems.

PAAMS, the International Conference on Practical Applications of Agents andMulti-Agent Systems, evolved from the International Workshop on Practical Appli-cations of Agents and Multi-Agent Systems. PAAMS is an international yearly tribuneto present, to discuss, and to disseminate the latest developments and the mostimportant outcomes related to real-world applications. It provides a unique opportunityto bring multi-disciplinary experts, academics, and practitioners together to exchangetheir experience in the development of agents and multi-agent systems.

This volume presents the papers that were accepted in the workshops during the2016 edition of PAAMS: Workshop on Agents and Multi-agent Systems for AAL ande-HEALTH; Workshop on Agent-Based Solutions for Manufacturing and SupplyChain; Workshop on MAS for Complex Networks and Social Computation; Workshopon Decision Making in Dynamic Information Environments; Workshop on IntelligentSystems for Context-Based Information Fusion; Workshop on Multi-Agent BasedApplications for Smart Grids and Sustainable Energy Systems; Workshop on Multi-agent System-Based Learning Environments. Each paper submitted to PAAMSworkshops went through a stringent peer review by three members of the internationalcommittee of each workshop. From the 77 submissions received, 37 were selected forpresentation at the conference.

We would like to thank all the contributing authors, as well as the members of theProgram Committees of the workshops and the Organizing Committee for their hardand highly valuable work. Their work contributed to the success of the PAAMS 2016event. Thank you for your help, PAAMS 2016 would not exist without yourcontribution.
