REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Welcome to the 2021 CommonGround Men’s Club. You must register online to become a member of the Club and be eligible for

tournament play.

Current/Past Members of CommonGround Men's Club

If you have been a member of the CommonGround Men's Club in the past: 1) Click on the "Register Now" button on the left of the Homepage. If prompted to sign in, then sign in using the following GGID: MEKBJX (Or if you have a personal Golf Genius log in, you can use that to sign in) 2) Click the blue Register Now button on the left. 3) Click Submit Registration for Approval 4) Search for your name 5) Pay your annual fee Once your renewal has been accepted in the Club, you will receive email instructions with your personalized login instructions. This is the new Men's Club website and where you will register for all events. Feel free to update your Profile under the Social tab. Your annual fee includes your 2021 handicap and CGA Membership.

Brand New Members If you have never been a member of the Club, please email Andy Harwood prior to registering at: [email protected] with the following information: 1) Name 2) Email 3) GHIN # If you don't have a GHIN number, a new one will be issued to you after your registration has been approved. Once Andy sets you up in the system, he will email you back and you will be able to register and join the Club using the Current Member registration instructions above. Please be patient after sending the information. Expect it to take a few days at a minimum before Andy gets back to you.

April 10th Master’s Pro Am – Season Opener Saturday Tee Times Begin at 7:30 am

Format: ABCD Low Gross/Low Net – One Low Gross score and one Low Net score on

each hole will be counted for the team score. Pairings will be created by the

golf shop. Each team will be paired with one of the players in the Master’s

whose score will be used to calculate the team score.

Handicaps: All players receive 85% of their course handicap

Skins: No Skins

Men’s Club Fourball Match Play 2021

FORMAT: Fourball Match Play (aka Net Better Ball Match Play) – Rule 2 – Match Play

HANDICAPS: Players will receive 90% of their course handicap. No more than 8 handicap strokes between

partners. Computer will reduce strokes of teammates that are further apart. Early rounds will be flighted into

similar team handicaps.

RULES: The USGA Rules of Golf for Match Play will govern all play. Any disputes should be brought to the

committee.

SCORECARDS: The official scorecard for the matches can be picked up in the golf shop. Handicaps will be

dotted by wheeling off the low player in the match. Handicaps will be updated at the beginning of each round

of matches and not at the scheduled USGA revision dates.

TEES: The tees played shall be decided by the consensus of the players participating in the match. If the

teams are unable to agree upon the tee to be played, the shorter tee of the tees in dispute shall be played.

SCORING: Immediately following play, please turn in the result of the match to the Golf Shop. The winning

team has the responsibility of emailing Dave Troyer ([email protected]) with the result of the

match.

SCORE POSTING: Each player is responsible for posting their own score.

DEADLINES: All matches must be completed by the following dates:

Round of 64: June 30th, 2021

Round of 32: July 31st, 2021

Round of 16: August 31st, 2021

Quarterfinals: September 30th, 2021

Semifinals: October 31st, 2021

Finals: November 30th, 2021

In the event a match is not completed by the deadline, the match will be decided with a coin flip by DT.

OTHER: If possible, please support the caddie program and take a caddie for your matches.

participants is minimal.

The Points Chase

The Points Chase is a season long event for members of the CommonGround Men’s Club. The season will consist of the eleven Men’s Club Events scheduled in 2021, beginning with the Opening Day Masters Pro Am on April 10th and ending with the Individual Stableford on September 11th. The

Member/Guest is not included in The Points Chase.

The Club Championship will be counted as a “Major” in which every member will receive double points based on their finish in the tournament within their respective flights. The Fourball Match Play

and the Individual Match Play participants will receive participation points only.

Although points are awarded for each event by flight based on Net Score (Gross Score in Flight 1), the Points Chase is against all members of the Men’s Club. This will keep it fair, and give everyone an opportunity to win. At the end of the season, prizes will be awarded to the overall top 5 finishers.

The top 40 finishers will qualify for the CG Cup Championship event to be held on Saturday, September 25th, 2021. The top 32 finishers will be eligible to participate in the CG Ryder Cup to be

held on Saturday, October 9th, 2021

By joining the Men’s Club, individuals are automatically entered into the Points Chase and will earn points based on participation and results. All ties are broken within flights.

Payout: Prize Money will be paid out in golf shop credit valid for golf shop merchandise.

The Ringer Competition

The Ringer Competition is a season long event for members of the CommonGround Men’s Club. The season will consist of the eleven Men’s Club Events scheduled in 2021,

beginning with the Opening Day Master’s Pro Am on April 10th and ending with the Individual Stableford on September 11th. The Fourball Match Play and the Individual,

Match Play, and the Member/Guest tournaments are excluded from the Ringer Competition.

A Ringer Competition is one where participants build their best hole by hole scorecard for 18 holes over the course of the season. We will run separate Gross and Net Ringer

Competitions. At the end of the season, prizes will be awarded to the overall top 5 finishers for each Gross and Net divisions. A player cannot win in both divisions.

By joining the Men’s Club, individuals are automatically entered into both Ringer

Competitions. Any ties will be broken using standard Club tie break methods.

Payout: Prize Money will be paid out in golf shop credit valid for golf shop merchandise.

Ringer standings are updated at the conclusion of each event and can be found on the Tournament Portal.
