COMMUNICATION STUDIES POSITION Academic Rank: A tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor or higher if experience and qualifications warrant. Salary: Based on education and experience per the Crandall University Faculty Handbook. (Approximate range $42,000 - $74,000) Application Deadline: Applications will be reviewed continuously until the position is filled. Starting Date: August 1, 2010 or starting date to be negotiated pending final budgetary approval. Qualifications: A doctorate in Communication Studies is preferred. Teaching experience is an asset. Teaching Load: Six semester courses per year or equivalent. Other Duties: Research and publication is required for promotion. Faculty also serve as academic advisors to a group of students and are expected to function on at least one university committee. In addition, Faculty are expected to be involved within their respective disciplines’ professional organizations or agencies. They also are encouraged to find their role of service within a local church and their community. Special consideration will be given to those applicants with a strong background in media studies.
