is your chance to make a difference.

EMAIL ASAP.
Our annual Presentation night is fast approaching, it is a great chance for
everyone to get together and have a good fun night. Don’t forget to RSVP via
return email or at lunchtime.
DC REPORT
Hi everyone we have the horse dentist, James Harvey with us this Sunday.
For those people wanting their horse’s teeth done please make an
appointment.
You will notice that the number of groups has increased to 5. That is
because the number of our members is increasing. It also allows me to
group our members into more suitable groups.
Mooroolbark Pony Club will be visiting us for our July rally. There will be 8
groups in total. It would be really helpful if anyone not intending on
coming to the July rally, to please let me know.
Instructors this rally are Laura Thorbecke (replacing Brenda who is on a
cruise), Robbie Allen, Edith Kane-welcome back Edith after breaking her
leg, Jacqui Boyle and Rebecca Rundle.
See you on Sunday

OUR MAY RALLY, BRENDA’S BIRTHDAY & YERINGBERG
ZONE TEAM HORSE TRIALS.
Our May rally was quite a small affair with a large number of our riders competing at Yeringberg zone team horse
trials. We did however welcome some new faces at this rally. Jess Ellis is actually not a new face but rather a face
from the past who returned to our Pony Club this rally; it was great to see you back Jess. Tamara Lee also came for a
visit this rally; hopefully she will be a regular face around the club too. The George family who visited a couple of
rallies ago are now a permanent fixture and The DePury family now have 2 riders Tas and Orlando. We warmly
welcome all our new and prospective new members to our club; if you see them around please make them feel
welcome.
The highlight of the day I am sure was Brenda’s 80th Birthday. Brenda has been an integral part of our club for a long
time now, making sure our youngest riders start off their riding futures with all the correct foundations. We know
our riders are in good hands under Brenda’s watchful eye. Our Shetlands group in particular took great pleasure in
presenting Brenda with a gift and a Birthday cake which was shared not only at Pony club but also with the families
at Yeringberg! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRENDA!!!

Donvale and Templesowe Pony Club Dressage Day:
Lilydale Pony club palced 1st and 2nd in the Grade
4 jackpot. Melanie and Dolly placed 1st and 1st
and 1st overall and Olivia and Fox placed 2nd and
2nd and 2nd overall. Both girls also had a go in the
open section with Olivia placing 6th and 2nd and 3rd
overall in the prelim section. Melanie placed 6th
in grade 3. Awesome effort girls!
Yerringberg zone Horse Trials
A large number of our riders competed at Yeringberg in the teams horse trials.Teams
of 3 or 4 riders from Grade 4 to Grade 2 compete and the 3 best scores for each team
are used to determine the final placings for the teams. None of the teams Lilydale Pony
Club were in; placed on the day, however it was still a hugely succesful day with a
number of our riders achieving personal goals. All of our riders were great
representatives of our club and they should all be congratulated on their efforts.

MOOROOLBARK PONY CLUB INVITES LILYDALE TO PLAY FOR THE DAY
Mooroolbark Pony Club very kindly invited a small number of Lilydale riders to attend as guests at their rally day last
Sunday. I am sure they would have loved to invite us all but due to size limitations they could only accommodate a
lucky few. Maddy, Sam, Phoebe, Jas, Hannah ,Ivy, Tash and Isaac all attended on the day with more hoping for a
spot. All the kids turned up not really knowing what to expect, they all, parents included wore a red ribbon to be in
the spirit of the day, this did not go unnoticed by the Mooroolbark riders and parents. From the moment we arrived
we were made to feel very welcome by both parents and riders. The format of the day was very similar to ours, with
our riders slotting easily into their groups and really enjoying their day of riding. Without a doubt the highlight of the
day was the final session which was polocrosse. All of our riders were a little hesitant not knowing what to expect,
but once they warmed up Lilydale proved themselves to be a force to be reckoned with and I am sure we left a
lasting impression on Mooroolbark Pony Club! Lilydale Pony Club welcomes Mooroolbark to our July rally.

The Wandin Seville Community bank branch of the Bendigo Bank has come on board with Lilydale Pony
Club! They have given us a grant that enabled us to buy a dressage ring, this is a very expensive item that,
due to PCAV rule changes has become necessary, that the club could not have otherwise afforded. The
bank will continue to support us in other ways too. Each time a new account is opened by a pony club
member the bank will donate money to us. The amount varies depending on the type of account. More
details in the other attachment with this email.
