One of the company founders, Francis Pegler,

was renowned for his innovative and practical

he died in 1957 the company has committed

to the development of new products

5 year guaranteeTerms and Conditions Products are subject to a 5 guarantee that is between Pegler Yorkshire and the final purchaser of the product.

The guarantee is subject to proof of purchase being supplied.

This guarantee does not affect any statutory rights the consumer may have in law.

The guarantee covers manufacturing or material defects and does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear.

This product has been designed for the use of homeowners and domestic users and therefore the guarantee is subject to products being fitted in domestic circumstances such as UK housing stock.

Finishes other than chrome are covered for a period of 3 years only and the guarantee on the finish is subject to the cleaning instructions being followed.

The guarantee is not applicable where the product is fitted contrary to the conditions in the fitting instructions.

Abusive behaviour and accidental damage to the product are not covered by this guarantee.

The extent of this liability is limited to the cost of the replacement of the defective item and not to fitting or consequential damages.

ApprovalsBS 1010 and BS 5412 taps have been granted approval by BSI for products complying with the required British Standard.

Many products have been certified by WRAS and are audited periodically. Products not claiming WRAS are manufactured using WRAS approved materials.

Standards Model Engineering Standard DO8

Thermostatic Mixing Valves (Healthcare Premises) 1997 for TMV3. This standard is regulated by WRAS under the BuildCert scheme. This is of high priority where applicable.

Product to be designed to meet the dimensional requirements of BS 5412 and EN 200, this includes areas such as air gaps, spout lengths, tail bores, flow rates etc., unless otherwise stated.

TMVA schemeTMVA is the representative for UK companies within European standards activities. It plays a key part in promoting the safety of hot water systems. As part of the TMVA membership we offer a comprehensive range of thermostatic products approved under the BuildCert scheme.

TMV2 Scheme – certifies Type 2 Thermostatic Mixing Valves for the domestic market. For use in hot water systems in domestic premises.

TMV3 Scheme – certifies Type 3 Thermostatic Mixing Valves manufactured to meet the highest specification required by the NHS Estates DO8 standard for Mixing Valves within healthcare premises in the United Kingdom.

WATER SAVING

Pegler Yorkshire are currently engaged in a range of initiatives aimed at improving knowledge on water efficiency to encourage consumers to use water wisely.

It is estimated that over the next 25 years water challenges will increase significantly as the resource comes under additional pressure from population growth, industrial processes, agriculture, transport systems and consumer desire for grander water products.

In the UK the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA)

has set up a voluntary industry scheme to label products

based on water usage. The Water Label will allow

consumers to see the amount of water used per flush

cycle, and in taps and showers how many litres a minute

are used.

Product innovation and quality manufacturing lie at the

heart of Pegler Yorkshire. The company is also renowned

for embracing legislative requirements and providing

products that are at the forefront of technological

developments to reduce water usage.

Pegler Yorkshire brands Francis Pegler and Performa

currently offer a number of ranges of taps that reduce

flow rates to levels prescribed by Part G of the Building

Regulations. Many taps in the ranges already consider

water saving by using click-cartridges, where lever

resistance offers the user two or three levels of reduced

flow rate. Current eco-ranges, including Strata by

Francis Pegler, also reduce water flow rates through

design.

The Performa brand by Pegler Yorkshire has long been

associated with specialist technical taps designed

to limit water usage, this includes sensor technologies,

and self-closing taps, both of which are already widely

used in commercial applications.

The Pegler Yorkshire Performa range includes a choice of Eco basin taps and mixers and water saving regulators for high and low pressure systems which enable flow rates to be restricted to 2, 4 or 6 litres a minute. WHAT IS ANTIMICROBIAL COPPER?

Antimicrobial Copper is a touch surface material that continuously kills 99.9% of bacteria within 2 hours of contact. These include MRSA, Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus faecalis (VRE), Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacter aerogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and E. Coli O157:H7. Recent research reports efficacy in just a few minutes.

ANTIMICROBIAL COPPER EASILY OUTPERFORMS COMMONLY USED SILVER-BASED ANTIBACTERIAL COATINGS

Antimicrobial Copper is the world’s most effective antimicrobial touch surface material and has been scientifically proven to out-perform silver-based antibacterial coatings under typical indoor conditions. Unlike silver-based coatings, Antimicrobial Copper is effective in all healthcare environments and doesn’t lose its anti-bacterial qualities with age. BUILDCERT TMV2 SCHEME Certifies Type 2 Thermostatic Mixing Valves for the domestic market. For use in hot water systems in domestic premises. Complies with EN 1111 : 1999 and EN 1287 : 1999. Part G Section G3 of the Building Regulations 2000 amended April 2010 now makes the fitting of these valves mandatory in New Build properties for bath fill applications.
