Commencement is an important “right of passage” for every college graduate – that moment in which you can
see,
feel, and celebrate
all of your hard work and accomplishments.
• Due to the ongoing restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony scheduled for Sunday, June 28th at the Kupferberg Center has been cancelled by Queens College.
• This year’s ceremony will be held virtually on
Sunday, August 9, 2020
• A virtual ceremony is exactly like an in-person ceremony, you’ll just be watching from home!
• Speeches from the President and Administrators
• A graduate speaker will deliver a Student Address
• Each student’s name will be announced individually and appear on screen with a personalized slide
• You’ll be inducted into the Alumni Association
Each graduate’s slide will include their:
• Name• Program• Degree Conferred• Personalized Quote• Cap and Gown Photo
In addition, each participating graduate will receive a personalized :30 clip for which they can provide a written quote and/or video recording!
Qualified graduates participating in this year’s virtual ceremony will have the opportunity to request to walk in a future in-person graduation ceremony.
Your only (optional) cost to participate is for your cap and gown ($30)!

• Petition to graduate (if you haven’t done so already)
• Use the RSVP Form to let us know you’d like to participate• This will be emailed to you after today’s Town Hall
• Order your Cap and Gown no later than Friday, June 12th
• A link to order and pay for your cap and gown will be emailed to you after today’s Town Hall
To do LATER!
• Pick up your regalia (cap/gown/tassel, honors medals, diploma cover)
• Submit your information for your slide• The portal to submit will open in late July. More information on
what to submit and how to submit will come later.
• Get dressed up, log in, and watch the ceremony with your family!
