Some of you know me I’ve been
a member of the post for sev-
eral years. I recently had the
opportunity to become involved
with Wreaths Across America. I
was introduced to the program
by a new friend and decided to
help sponsor Crest lawn Ceme-
tery and Memorial Island for
the program. I am reaching out
to see if any other Post 39
members would like to help with
this project. First let me try to
explain a little more about what
WAA is for those not familiar
with it.
WAA was started by the
Worcester family in 2007 after
15 years of honoring the veter-
ans at A r l ing ton w ith
wreaths. In 2017 with the help
be there collecting donations,
and selling wreathes ($15.00
each) (March 9-18). I am also
looking to do something at the
Air show April 21-22. If anyone
would like to be involved or if the
post. Auxiliary, Riders would like
to form your own fund raising
group contact me and I will be
glad to help. You can also go to
the WAA web site, I recommend
visiting the site anyway it’s
very informative.
If we can show good progress
early I plan to sponsor Sebas-
tian next. Thank you for any and
all help and please fill free to
call me with any questions. Rick

We have been busy this past month. At the close of 2017, we
purchased a metal shed,
cement blocks, and lounger for the Veteran’s House on Old Dixie
Highway and delivered it to
them. We are planning a joint fund-
raiser with The Next Generation
Veterans, and we sponsored
their Ruck March along with the
