Command Sergeant Major Kristie L. Brady assumed duties as the 18 th Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) and Senior Command Sergeant Major of Aberdeen Proving Ground on June 25, 2020. As the command sergeant major for a 9,000-person, two-star global command and the senior command sergeant major of a 28,000-person military base, Command Sergeant Major Brady serves as the U.S. Army’s command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) materiel integrator. She is responsible for enabling the U.S. Army's warfighting readiness by providing sustainable global C5ISR support. Raised in Ethan, South Dakota, CSM Brady entered active duty in 1992 as an Information Systems Operator-Analyst (25B). She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Networking from Strayer University and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Leadership from the University of Charleston, West Virginia. During her 28 years of service, CSM Brady has served in a variety of command and staff positions to include G6 Sergeant Major and Organizational Development Sergeant Major, Washington, D.C.; 3 rd Joint Communications Squadron Sergeant Major and J3 Operations Sergeant Major, Joint Communications Support Element; and on multiple Commander Initiatives Groups and Campaign Planning. Her most recent assignment was as the Brigade Command Sergeant Major for the Joint Communications Support Element (Airborne), Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (MacDill AFB, FL) where she oversaw the deployment of en route, early entry, scalable communications support packages to Regional Combatant Commands and Special Operations Command. CSM Brady has held leadership positions at every operational level from squad leader to Command Sergeant Major with significant assignments as First Sergeant 228 th Signal Company, 54th Signal Battalion (Kuwait); 63rd Signal Battalion (Fort Gordon, GA); 160th Signal Brigade (Iraq); Command Sergeant Major for 112 th Signal Battalion, Special Operations, Airborne, 528th Sustainment Brigade, 1 st Special Forces Command (Fort Bragg, NC); and the Brigade Command Sergeant Major for the Joint Communications Support Element, Airborne, Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, U.S. Transportation Command (MacDill AFB, FL). Her military education includes Warriors Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), Senior Leaders Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), First Sergeants Course, Sergeants Major Academy (Commandants List), Basic Airborne Course, Jumpmaster Course, High-Risk Survival Course, and Battalion, Brigade and Special Operations Pre-Command Courses.
