as the Geneseo Community Players to provide quality, live theater experiences for the area. People of all ages have taken part in more than 100 shows. CAST BIOGRAPHIESHardy VanRy - Wadsworth the Butler

This is Hardy’s sixth show with GCP. He was also in last summer’s Oliver! and last winter’s Arsenic and Old Lace, along with Annie, Don’t Dress For Dinner, and Barefoot in the Park. He was also in a couple dozen other plays and musicals when he lived in Washington State. Hardy directs the high school musical, high school play, and elementary play at York Central School, where he teaches fi fth grade. He lives in Piffard.

Joe DeBell - Mr. Green Joe is a 1985 SUNY Geneseo grad with a BA in Theatre 1985. His favorite GCP roles are Felix in Odd

Couple, FDR in Annie! and Mr. Sowerberry in Oliver! He enjoys coaching Indoor Track and hanging out with his family. Special thanks to Bettina, Josh and Joey for their support. To the cast, crew and director- thanks for a fun experience!

Deirdre Coyle - Mrs. White Deirdre did a lot of theater in high school and college but nothing until LCP’s production of Thoroughly

Modern Millie in the summer of 2010 where she played Mrs. Meers. Then last year Joan (Miss Scarlet) convinced her to audition for GCP’s Arsenic and Old Lace where she played Joan’s sister Martha Brewster. Now she is hooked and delighted to be with this great bunch for Clue. Deirdre is a mother of 2 great kids, a Rotary member serving as a counselor for the exchange program. She loves to bicycle, motorcycle, travel, cook, dabble in photography, computers, theater, skiing, yoga, spinning, name it and she will at least try it! “It was great to work with Blaine and Michael as this show felt like a true collaborative effort. Thanks to ANYONE who helped out in ANY way! Lots of fun to chase away the January blues!”

Joan Hamer - Miss Scarlet Joan’s theatre experience ranges from GCP Arsenic and Old Lace/Aunt Abby, GCP Dead Air/Mary Al-

leghany to LCP Musical Comedy Murder of the 1940s/Elsa Van Grossenkneuten and various other musicals performed by LCP. She enjoys yoga, walking, biking, reading and cooking. “Putting together Clue has been wonderful. We have such a talented cast, fabulous set designers, hilarious comedians, creative directors and tireless backstage workers all working together, it truly is “community” theater. I am lucky to have been chosen to be part of it!”

Mark Hopkins - Colonel MustardMark was one of the cops in GCPs production of Arsenic and Old Lace last winter and portrayed Bill Sykes

in Oliver! this past summer. He loves all four seasons (but a little less winter) of Western York and doing things outside with my family. His kids are hitting a fun time in life (middle school) so things are getting busy with school sports and 4-H activities.“Last winter was my fi rst show as a ‘grown-up’ and I’ve had a delightful time getting to know the GCP family. It has been an honor and good fun to work with production, cast, and crew to see this challenging script come to life.”

Stan Janczak - Professor PlumStan has performed with several community theatre’s in Livingston County. His favorite roles are The

Engineer in Miss Saigon, Carl in Snow Starts, Moonface in Anything Goes, Tom in the Glass Menagerie and Eric in Peace in our Time. He enjoys biking and theater. “This cast has been great people to work with, great people to laugh with! That’s why I do this.”

Toby J. Drowne - Mr. Boddy Years ago Toby performed in Carousel, Fiddler on the Roof, Godspell, and Little Shop of Horrors. He enjoys

playing golf, softball, and doing photography. “I can’t tell you how much fun I’ve had getting back into the swing of things with theatre. It has been wonderful working with everyone! With taking as much time off as I have from doing anything on the stage, I have to admit that I was very nervous, but this outstanding group of characters up here with me has helped to experience once again the magic and thrill of the stage. I thank you all!”

CAST BIOGRAPHIESDave Peck - The Cop

Dave is a retired elementary teacher and director of Drama in the Livonia Central Schools. He is past president of GCP ( 2000-2005), current co-president and lives in Avon with his wife Beth and two daughters, Amanda and Sarah. Dave has acted, produced or directed for Pittsford Amateur Summer Theater, Livonia Community Players, Geneseo Community Players and Avon Community Theater. He is grateful to work once again with an amazing cast and crew at GCP in Clue.

Sarah Hill - Yvette, The Maid Sara was the Stage Manager for GCPs production Arsenic and Old Lace last winter, but has had no on

stage performing since High School. She likes blogging, reading, creative writing, photography, drawing, Zumba and Yoga. “This cast has some of the funniest people I have ever met. I don’t know if I have ever laughed and blushed so hard in my whole life.”

Bob Wilcox - Chief/Evangelist Having come close to the number of GCP shows done with the likes of Patty Moss, Ellie Houston and the

still alive and well Dennis Dawson, I continue to work on my theatrical specialty, “...the cop at the end.” Director Fambro could not say enough about my “copabilities” and I hope the audience agrees!

My affection for the Geneseo Community is manifested in my many efforts serving as a Village Trustee and member of the Community Tourism Committee. My primary extra-curricular activity is working to avoid tipping over (staying vertical). I have enjoyed working with this ensemble and look forward to mastering the nuance required for my pivotal line, “whodunit.”

Jamond Billyard - The MotoristJamond has done numerous shows, estimating over 60. He graduated from the University of Buffalo cum

laude with a theater degree. His most favorite roles are Ichibod Craine in the legend of Sleepy Hollow. Motel Kamzoil in Fiddler on the Roof and Paravicini in Mouse Trap. He helps out around his neighborhood and watches his nephew while his sister works at RIT. Currently he is working on painting the sets down in Short Tract for the show called “Dead and Breakfast”. His favorite hobby is puzzle solving and jigsaw puzzles. “It has been pleasure to work with the GCP group.” Jamond would like to thank his parents for all their love and support.

Darlene Hunt - The CookDarlene has performed in Bye Bye Birdie, Music Man, How to Succeed in Business and Guys and Dolls

when she was in school. This past summer she had the privilege of being cast in Oliver as Old Sally, along with her son Garrison. Being a part of a large production such as Oliver was wonderful, all the family ties made it special. Her hobbies are playing the clarinet, reading, walking and spending time with her family.

Georgia VanRy - Singing Telegram Girl Georgia is thrilled to be playing the Singing Telegram Girl in GCP’s Clue! A student at Avon High School,

she participates in cheerleading in addition to dance classes, Genesee Valley Children’s Choir, and voice lessons with Krista Benson. Favorite past roles include Tuptim (The King and I), Rapunzel (Into the Woods), Wendy (Peter Pan), Duffy (Annie), and she’s very excited to be playing Mary Poppins in Avon High School’s premiere of the musical locally this March.

CREW BIOGRAPHIESMichael Fambro - Director

Michael is pleased to be making her directorial debut with the Geneseo Community Players. She has proudly been the Artistic Director with the WNY Performance Center for the past 4 years, and most recently has been working regionally with the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY. Theater is her livelihood, and when she’s not teaching, directing, or performing, she fi lls in the extra time penning plays. She has been delighted to take part in Clue, and wants to be sure she gives credit where it is due - this cast has created this amazing performance themselves. She pretty much just supervised. “I hope you are all as proud of yourselves, as I am of you. Break a leg! (Oh yeah, love you, Leo-bat!)”

Ruth E. Henry - Costumer Enjoys all creative aspects of Theater. She directed an Educational Youth Theater program in Albany NY for

12 years before moving to Conesus with her husband, Jerry. She costumed GCP’s State Fair (2013) and Oliver (2014), SUNY Geneseo’s Putting it Together: Sondheim Review (2014), and is currently costuming RAPA’s Mary Poppins and SUNY Geneseo’s Dogfi ght. Ruth was recently awarded the Livingston County Arts Individual Artist Grant to write her 7th musical, Wicket Ways, about an 1895 croquet match at Glen Iris Inn. She enjoys gardening, tennis, golf, mycology and local history. She has enjoyed the frivolity of this show!

Blaine VanRy - Set Designer and Stage Manager Blaine has been a Set Designer for GCP’s Arsenic and Old Lace (2014), Set Construction for GCP’s Oliver

(2014), Set Designer and Stage Manager for York Central School’s musicals Beauty and the Beast (2012), Grease (2013), and Shrek (2014). “Clue” was one of my favorite movies as a teenager. My brother and I must have watched it 254 times, to the point where we could repeat the actors’ lines at the same time and with the same infl ection. I was thrilled when the opportunity arose to bring the 1985 screenplay to the theater. The diffi culty was getting all 10 rooms onto a small stage, so we came up with the idea to make rotating platforms. We also wanted to give a wink to the classic Parker Brother’s board game by labeling each room with an identifying sign. Hopefully, the audience will enjoy watching Clue as much I have working on it! Instead of saying “Mrs. Peacock . . . did it in the Lounge . . . with the candlestick,” I can say “I . . . did it on the stage . . . with the screwgun!”

Gerald Swanson - Graphic DesignerGerald is responsible for the opening credits, posters and other artwork for tonight’s production. He

has created similar graphics for several other productions, including The Woman in Black, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and 1940s Radio Hour. After recently being honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps (SEMPER FI!), Gerald is currently a graphic designer and marketing professional, fi ne artist, as well as a devoted father and husband, runner and surfer.

Melinda “Tilly” Pease - Assistant Stage ManagerTilly has been involved with York Central School Musicals since 2010. She is involved in GSA, School

Musicals, church school teachers aid and Odyssey of the Mind. Her hobbies are: “What’s a Hobby? I live at the YCS!” She is pleased to say that she was a small part of this production, moreover the experience she has gained from Clue is marvelous!
