S E P T E M B E R 2 0 1 1 E D I T I O N
What a wonderful beginning of the
year it has been! Open House started
it all off and we have been off and
running ever since. Thank you to all
the families that were able to join us
for our first PTO Meeting &
Curriculum Night!
This year, we have three areas of
focus for our School Improvement
Plan: 1) Professional Learning
Communities 2) Positive Behavior
Interventions and Support and 3)
Communication. These three areas
were identified as areas of focus from
our Student Performance Data and the
Student, Parent & Staff surveys from
2010-2011. Throughout the year, we
will provide updates and solicit
feedback on our progress.
I want to thank each family for
partnering with us for the best
experience possible for our children.
The Car Rider lines have been moving
smoothly in the morning and afternoon.
Bus Transportation is running
efficiently, as the drivers are learning
their students and their routes.
Teaching and learning is happening all
over campus. It is shaping up to a
fantastic year!
We look forward to seeing you soon
Sincerely,Alison Moore, Principal

INVEST IN YOUR
CHILD!
IIYC!
IYC stands for Invest In Your Child and is a
undraiser that relies on monetary donations to
our school!
Why the IIYC Campaign?
The IIYC Campaign is a very efficient means of
undraising for several reasons....heres a few: 1)
t is 100% PROFIT; which means ALL monies
donated go directly to meeting the needs of our
chool! 2) It is 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE! - your
contribution is completely tax deductible!
What are the donations used for?
Our main focus of instruction at Cox Mill is to
build 21st century learners capable of utilizing
echnology to accomplish projects & tasks. Our
goal for this year is to attain an interactive board
or every classroom. We only lack thirteen
boards to make that happen!!
How does it work?
The IIYC campaign will officially begin Monday,
September 12th, when donation letters go home
n your students backpack. Please give
generously! Giving is entirely voluntary, but we
do strive for 100% participation. No matter
what the amount, your donation will help! Dont
orget...many companies will match donations!
Donations will be accepted through Tuesday,
October 4th!
