Mindy has been performing since the age of eight. Her original goal in life was to be the world’s first “singing Heart Surgeon”. Unfortunately, medical school didn’t pan out; so, she decided to heal the world through music and as a result, she has been studying different vocal techniques, voice science, and vocal health her entire life. Mindy has studied with many nationally and internationally renowned vocal instructors and was a vocal performance major at the University of Utah.

Mindy is part of some incredible voice teams and music industry professionals throughout the world. Some of these team’s consists of Laryngologists, ENT’s, Artist Development, Managers, Record Labels, Vocal Arrangers, Producers, Music Directors, and many others. Mindy holds a certificate in Clinical Vocology from The National Center for Voice and Speech. Mindy holds certificate in laryngeal manipulation. Mindy is the creator of one of the top Educational Apps called Voice Tutor.

Mindy has a full studio in Salt Lake City, Utah and a satellite studio in Los Angeles, California. She also has clients around the world via online sessions. Her studio has a roster of clients from the novice to the professional, all genre's and styles, actors and voice over artists, the injured or rebab voice, transgender, motivational speakers, and any other voice user seeing out her help. Clients are in all genres and styles of the music. Mindy has been both behind the director’s chair as well as on the stage through Utah. In 2015 Mindy was awarded Best of Stage for Voice Instruction and has received Best of Salt Lake City for Private Music Instruction for the past five years.Mindy understands how hard it is for artists to make connections to the music world. ANDRÉSMARTORELLURUGUAY/ IRELAND Originally from Uruguay, residing in Ireland and Poland since 2003, Andrés has studied vocal technique all over the world with the most renowned singing teachers, several voice scientists and the largest institutes. As a teacher during the last 20 years, Andrés has trained over 1500 voices around the world, from "shower" singers to Grammy winners, several singers with a Multi Platinum album, number 1 artists on the Billboard charts (USA), actors, and many more. Since 2011, Andrés has worked as a lecturer of "Voice Coaching" at the National University of Ireland (NUIG), where he created his own Oratory Program which merges Modern Vocal Technique, Speech Training and Vocal Science. n addition to regularly teaching private lessons in person in Ireland and Poland, giving workshops in dozens of countries annually, and training many singers daily by Skype, he also trains singing teachers from around the world.

Andrés has been certified (2004 to 2013) in Speech Level Singing as a Vocal Coach at the highest level (Level 5) and in IVA as a Mentor teacher, in addition to becoming the head of research and vocal science of that institute in its infancy. n addition, he attended numerous worldwide voice teachers conferences (SLS) and several vocal seminars, including seminars with Ingo Titze in Salt Lake City, Utah, NCVS. As a singer Andrés studied (and continues to study), with great voice teachers, including maestro Seth Riggs regularly in Los Angeles, Greg Enriquez and Richard Halton.

Since 2009, Andrés, together with his wife, has directed the "European Vocal Camp" (the largest Vocal Camp in the world), which brings together over a hundred singers from around the world. Between the 2017 and 2018 editions, people came from over 50 countries. One of Andrés greatest passions is working with students in person, and he travels all over the world to teach. He has taught workshops in Uruguay, Argenti-na, Brazil, Bulgaria, Spain, Poland, Ireland, the United States, Sweden and has been a regular guest teacher in Denmark at the Complete Vocal Institute (CVI) since 2014.

Andrés regularly sings on various stages around the world - in Ireland in Poland, in the United States, and beyond. As a composer, Andrés has successfully written songs for many artists and for his own musical projects, including his own project "Baile An Salsa,” which is currently produced by 5-time Grammy winner, Walter Flores. Andrés is also a regular singer in the symphonic orchestras of Poland, having participated as Tenor in several renowned halls including NOSPR, Katowice, where he had the main male role as tenor of Operita de Piazzola, "María de Buenos Aires." He tours Europe performing tango with the Renowed bands Tango Attack & Bandonegro. In 2019 he signed a contract to perform as Tenor at the Warsaw Opera Kameralna under the direction of world renowed Opera director Michał Znaniecki.

His devotion to singing has led him not only to train hard to become a voice coach with a great reputation, but also to live the experience as a professional singer performing all over the world in many different styles

Monique Thomas, vocal coach and professional singer was born in Philadelphia, Pa, in the United States and began singing at a very young age. She grew up listening to gospel, R&B and Motown artists, and knew, early on that singing would be her career.

In 1994, Monique entered the William Paterson University music department where she would simultaneously study jazz and opera. During her time at the university, Monique would regularly perform jazz and R&B at different clubs in and around New York City. In 1998, upon completion of her degree, Monique was asked to join the teaching staff of the CIAM, a music school in Bordeaux, France. After a few years, she went on to become the director of the entire vocal department and was part of the school’s pedagogical team. Monique also created and directed the CIAM gospel choir, which existed for 9 years. Throughout the course of her teaching in Bordeaux, she continued to study voice at the Bordeaux conservatory and partici-pated in many masterclasses and vocal competitions, garnering first place prizes and honors along with her opera degree. In 2002, Monique created the gospel group, «Voices of Praise». Voices of Praise has recorded 2 albums and has a national and international performance schedule.

While she enjoys singing lead in her gospel group, jazz quartet and other groups, Monique has also done backup for artists such as Robyn Carlsson, Miss Dominique and Cunnie Williams.

In her continued quest for vocal excellence, Monique decided to study Speech Level Singing (SLS - a technique which more than 150 international stars such as Stevie Wonder, Michael and Janet Jackson, Natalie Cole and many more use) and upon certification in 2008, became part of their team of teachers.

In 2009, Monique left the CIAM to create her own vocal school, «Vocal Arts Studio» and regularly gives masterclasses and teaches students all over France, in the Reunion Islands and the French Antilles. She continues to perform on stage and has begun composing for several recording artists.

ULRIKELHOLMDENMARKUlrik Elholm has a Master in Music and additional courses from the department of the Speech Therapist and Rhetoric at the University of Copenhagen. He is an authorized Complete Vocal Technique Coach and was one of the first teachers qualified to teach this approach. He has been teaching singers internationally for 23 years and is a teacher at Complete Vocal Institute in Copenhagen. Ulrik also works as a Vocal Coach and Musical Director on Tv-shows like Popstars, X-Factor, Allstars, All Together Now, Showtime and The Voice.

Together with a Danish Psychologist, he did research and wrote the Danish book: ‘Bliv Bedre – med fokuseret træning’ a book about how to do deliberate practice and to develop a growth mindset. In the research they collaborated among others with K. Anders Ericsson (the psychologist behind the 10.000 hours). Ulrik do speeches about deliberate practice and mindset around Europe. Part of the speeches he does is about how the mindset we have when we perform and teach, is very important for us to dare to do mistakes, work hard and take in feedback.

With Ulrik’s combination of professions, he is one of the most sought after and leading vocal coaches in Denmark, helping artist as a consultant for Record Labels like EMI, Sony, Warner and Universal Music.

Ulrik has specialized in working with all kinds of performers. Besides from singers in all genres, he is also working with Tv-hosts, actors, stand-up comedians, speakers and many others professions in different countries.

Ulrik also has a solo career as a singer. He released his first album in 2009 and played concerts around Europe, Canada and Japan. Second album was released in Toronto and he is working on his 5th album at the moment. His main focus though, is driven from the curiosity about the voice, singing technique, teaching methods, deliberate practice along with developing a growth mindset.

A long career requires a healthy technique, body and mind. It requires choices and prioritizing as a performer to stay in balance. And the right mindset and deliberate work is a part of that balance and a part of making good choices.

RACHELBLACK UKRachel has been teaching voice for over 15 years and trains singers, actors and voice teachers all over the world from her studio in North London as well as teaching techniques at BIMM music school. She has worked as vocal coach on TV show “The Voice” in Australia and continues to teach finalists from the show via Skype.

Some of Rachel’s clients include Grammy Award winning recording artists and producers, notably Seal with whom she tours regularly, Trevor Horn (UK’s leading producer, “The man who invented the eighties”, the Buggles, Yes), Boy George (Culture Club), Jim Lowe (Stereophonics, Herbie Hancock) leading stars of the West End musicals including two lead ‘Michael Jackson’s from Thriller; Michael Duke (lead dancer/singer in Thriller) as well as Laurence Oliver award winner Adam Bernard (Thriller, Dreamgirls, Star Wars, BBC TV), The Lion King, and many other West End shows, she has been involved in projects with Giants of the acting world such as Sir Christopher Lee (Dracula, Saruman, Scaramanga) and musicians and singers of the Rock world from Dire Straits, Yes, Supertramp and ELO as well as TV actors/singers including Moran Atias (Tyrant, Crash), Alesha Dixon amongst others.

Her music education spans Conservatoires in Mexico City and Paris and Music colleges in London in voice, guitar and piano. Her training as a voice teacher includes 8 years with Seth Rigg’s Speech level singing, 6 years with the Institute for Vocal Advancement where she has been Ambassador and Mentor for many years, certification in Somatic Voicework (level 3), Estill technique 1 & 2, Accent Method, Classical training, some work with CVT and other methods. She has worked regularly with giants of Jazz, Anita Wardell and Bob Stoloff (Berklee School of music) who frequently refers singers to her for technique training. As well as English, Rachel speaks Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese fluently, having lived in Mexico, Brazil, France and spent long periods in Italy and Spain, enabling her to teach in those languages as well as working with linguistic issues ironing out accents. IANDAVIDSONUKIan is one of the most highly qualified and sought after vocal coaches in the UK. His journey as a vocal coach came shortly after he graduated with honours from the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and began training in the Speech Level Singing (SLS) teaching methodology, studying under world renowned teachers such as Dave Stroud, Wendy Parr, John Henny, Dean Kaelin, Greg Enriquez, Jeffrey Skouson and Kathy Kennedy. After achieving Level 3 status within the SLS organisation, Ian decided that he wanted to broaden out his knowledge of vocal pedagogy and along with a number of other teachers from around the world came together under the guidance of Dave Stroud to form what is now known as Vocology in Practice or ViP. A regular lecturer in singing at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Ian also trains voices at Rare Studios in Liverpool City Centre, and helped to establish the singing program on the BA(hons) in Musical Theatre at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona. Ian obtained his MA in Music from the University of Salford, where he focussed his studies on the Psychology of Performance and the condition, "Adophobia", which he wrote extensively on for his thesis. Ian is about to embark on a Post-Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where he hopes to start formulating a PhD thesis. Ian is an accomplished pianist and accompanist, but his main passions lie in choral direction. In the past he founded and directed Sanctified Gospel Choir, who won the Best Newcomer Award at the 2015 Gospel Entertainment and Music (GEM) Awards.

STEPHENKING UKThere are only a handful of practitioners in the world who are qualified manual therapists and singing teachers, using a multidisciplinary approach to singing training and Stephen is one of them. Stephen specialises in the area of honing in on tension, and eliminating it in his singing teaching across the UK and worldwide having worked with Hollywood and Disney Celebrities to The 2018 World Champion Beatboxer.

Stephen understands singers and dancers alike after he studied ballet at the Central Ballet School and then transferred to the Musical Theatre BA(hons) at Arts Educational Schools, London. After sustaining a serious knee injury (and leaving performing behind) he has coached on The Voice – Belgium, and has been a guest lecturer at UCLH London and Goldsmith’s University, as well as regularly teaching at The Urdang Academy.

As a Musical Director/Vocal Coach, Stephen has worked on some 20+ productions including Legally Blonde, Les Mis, Sister Act and Bring It On as well as resident teaching at courses across London including London Studio Centre, Read College and The Emil Dale Academy. Stephen was also the resident Musical Director for Spirit Young Performers Company. With SYPC, Stephen was creating YouTube content reaching millions of viewers each month and gained substantial recognition from Disney Records for his viral arrangement of “How Far I’ll Go”. Stephen regularly engages in professional development and has trained with Dr Jenevora Williams and ENT Consultant Declan Costello in both vocal health, and anatomy and physiology, and is continuing his work in becoming a fully recognised, BVA approved Vocal Rehabilitation Coach.

He has trained with leading voice researcher Jeanie LoVetri (Somatic Voicework) as well as leading voice coach, Anne-Marie Speed (3+ years of Estill Voice Training). Stephen was also personally mentored by Dr Meribeth Dayme who is the prize winning researcher and author of Dynamics of The Singing Voice in her CoreSinging methodology.

As a Manual Therapist, Stephen holds Level 6 modules in Advanced Myofascial Release and Advanced Clinical massage from the Jing School of Massage in Brighton. Stephen has also attended Voice Workshop’s, Jacob Lieberman training event around Muscle Tension Dysphonia and Laryngeal Manual Therapy (2017, 2019) and holds a certificate in osteopathic spinal manipulation.

He is now an Educational Director with Modern Vocal Training where he trains singing teachers in Anatomy and Physiology and Vocal Massage. With a quest for knowledge and understanding it is clear Stephen’s breadth of work and appreciation of vocal pedagogy and Manual Therapy only keeps expanding.

BARBARATANZESLOVENIABorn in Munich, Germany and raised between Germany, Switzerland and the USA, Barbara Tanze graduated from the Conservatoire de Lausanne with an M.A. degree in vocal pedagogy and classical vocal performance. She has sung opera productions and concerts around Europe, including the role of Violetta Valery (La Traviata) at the Slovenian National Opera in Ljubljana and also performed around the world with her group »The Petticoat Girls«, seeking to promote classical music through humorous and entertaining storylines. Being a very versatile vocalist, she also participated in the electronic music project »The Atlas of the Lost Islands« by the Italian composer/artist Paolo Pascutto and is the lead singer of the symphonic metal band AqvileA. Barbara is one of only a dozen certified advanced MDH Breathing Coordination practitioners in the world today. She also actively pursues her training in different manual practices and vocal approaches. In 2017, she was invited to teach a MDH Breathing Coordination workshop in London for Ultimate Artists, a development programme for young performers created by Joshua Alamu as well as sharing her knowledge at the first World Voice Teachers Expo in Poland. Barbara has taught workshops at Pacific Opera in Sydney and Adelaide State Opera in 2018 and presented her research work in Los Angeles and Long Beach, California. In addition to her work with singers of all styles, Barbara is training amateurs and professional athletes to optimize their breathing mechanism for any kind of athletic activity. Her clients include Andreja Sterle Podobnik, winner of the Everest Trail Race in 2016, Slovenian cycling champion Matej Mugerli, Olympian Urška Poje (biathlon) as well as many others.

Rachel Black, will give you an insight of how different methods use different terminologies for the same methods, and what names are given to the complementary techniques.
