Dear Friends,
As we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent we are reminded that God’s ways are not our ways. Today’s readings point to the unlikely sources for the blessed event we are about to celebrate. Christ will be born in Bethlehem, a town unnoticed and forgotten. The Son of God will be born to Mary, a seemingly insignificant teenage girl. John the Baptist will be born of Elizabeth, a woman supposedly past childbearing age. We left church today reminded of God’s tendency to do the unexpected, even in our lives which may seem insignificant to the popular of the world!
Today (Sunday) after the 11AM Mass, around 12:15, we will finish decorating the church for the great feast of the Nativity. If you are able to come around to help, please know that you are most welcome. The more the merrier and the sooner the beautiful task is complete! Thank you in advance for your consideration of this parish service opportunity!
This coming week we will have limited office hours for the parish. The parish office is CLOSED on December 24, 25, and 26th. The parish office will be OPEN on December 27 and 28th from 9AM UNTIL 12 NOON. These hours give our heard working staff some time to spend with their families over the holidays. Looking ahead, the parish office will also be CLOSED on December 31st and January 1, 2019. We will open for regular business on Wednesday, January 2nd at 9AM. However, the priests will be able to assist the parish family with emergencies throughout the Christmas season.
Our Christmas schedule was delivered to every family but it is worth reviewing again. On Christmas Eve we will have two Masses at 4PM, one in church and one in the hall. The 6PM Mass will be in church as well as the 8PM Choir Mass. On Christmas Day we will celebrate Mass at 7AM, 9AM, and 11AM. Christmas week we will have only one daily Mass at 9AM in Church.
On behalf of Father Biedrzycki, Father Cornely, Deacon George and the entire parish staff, I wish you and yours a most joyful Christmas and a season filled with the blessings of love, joy and peace that only the Lord can provide! Thank you for making our Christmas a happy time as well!
May Saint Robert Bellarmine, bless our Christmas Season!
With prayers,
The Fourth Sunday O

Consecration to the Holy Family
What is a Consecration?
Consecration is the act of setting a person or thing
apart for a particular purpose or mission; to make or
acknowledge something as holy. The family is called
the Domestic Church and is called to be a place or
prayer and holiness to God our Father. Our Parish
Family and Families Individually will be making an Act
of Consecration to the Holy Family’s intercession and
protection in the coming year.
Consecration Date:
Sunday, January 6, 2019
at all Sunday Masses
Consecration Date:
Sunday, January 6, 2019
at all Sunday Masses

Blessing of the Family Christmas Manger
or Nativity Scene
Have a family member read this Gospel, Luke 2:1-8
Then say the following BLESSING:
God of every nation and people, from the very beginning
of creation you have made manifest your love: when our
need for a Savior was great you sent your Son to be born
of the Virgin Mary. To our lives he brings joy and peace,
justice, mercy, and love.
Lord, bless all who look upon this manger; may it remind
us of the humble birth of Jesus, and raise our thoughts to
him, who is God-with-us and Savior of
all, and who lives and reigns forever
and ever.
ALL: Amen.
(If you do this on Christmas Eve, add
the Baby Jesus)
FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT — THE VISITATION Luke 1:39-45
Luke describes the encounter of Mary and Elizabeth and their greetings of joy and hospitality. The tenderness of this scene engages our joy and desire to make ready for the coming of our savior.
Pope Francis, during the Year Of Mercy a few years ago, called for a “revolution of tenderness.”
Are we ready to greet family and friends with joyful tenderness at our Christmas gatherings this year...especially those we need to forgive or those from whom we need forgiveness?
Is there someone you can
invite back to the Church
this Christmas? They may
just be waiting for that
personal invitation from
you. We can never underestimate the
beauty and power of the Mass!
Thinking about becoming a Catholic and you have

MARCH FOR LIFE
FRIDAY, JANUARY 18, 2019
2019 MFL THEME
There is an abundance of scientific resources supporting the pro-life cause. So why does this theme matter? To summarize, science is on the side of life. When life begins and the stages of prenatal development are scientific facts. Humanity – and our uniqueness as individuals – begins at day one, at fertilization. Life, in its most vulnerable form, should be protected. That, in essence, is why WE MARCH.
