Slick-E-Line®

Slick-E-Line® is a polymeric precision coated alloy slickline. The formulated coating is non-abrasive to downhole tubulars and high-end completions and minimises interference or signal loss. Simultaneously enabling normal mechanical slickline operations AND bidirectional data communication with a downhole tool string, Slick-E-Line® is deployed using standard slickline pressure control equipment.

The Slick-E-Line® system combines the versatility and efficiency of traditional slickline with the real-time data streaming capability of electric line. Leveraging decades of experience, the cutting-edge Slick-E-Line® technology is bridging the gap between cased-hole electric line and slickline services and supports all parties with immediate decision making for your well intervention challenges. One operational crew for slickline and cased hole logging operations, including safer pressure control and smaller footprint.

COMBINING MECHANICALSLICKLINE CAPABILITY WITH REAL TIME

LOGGING, SLICK-E-LINE®

IS A PARADIGM SHIFT IN WELL INTERVENTION

The Slick-E-Line® surface equipment comprises a surface powered communication module, which is electrically close-coupled to an antenna section that communicates with the Slick-E-Line® and downhole ParaComm telemetry tools interfacing with any 3rd party mechanical, perforating or logging service without the need for a slipring unit on the wireline drum.

The Slick-E-Line® communications module receives the downhole tool data from the ParaComm Antenna and communicates with the downhole tool when in transmit mode.

Slick-E-Line® real-time depth correlation capabilitiy confirms operations are on depth and provide the exact position of the downhole tool string at all times.

The Slick-E-Line® continuous depth correlation means that slickline operations can now be adapted in real time and that the success of the job can be confirmed before pulling out of hole.

Slick-E-Line® mechanical services enhance the quality and operational safety of traditional mechanical operations thanks to its added accurate depth measurement and monitoring of downhole tool and environment status in real time.

Slick-E-Line® supports perforation, tubing punching, and cutting for pipe recovery. On depth and in real time.

SLICK-E-LINE® IS MADE USING APARADIGM PROPRIETARY COATING

PROCESS AND IS THE ONLY ONE OF ITS TYPE IN THE WORLD.

Slick-E-Line® allows real-time production or cased hole logs across a range of wellbore environments.

Example PLT Correlation with CCL and Gamma Ray (geiger or scintilation), pressure temperature, inclination real time available.

Example Intelligent driftrun Riserless through 6,000 ft water depth to approximate 30,000 ft. Quite often a drift run is needed. With Slick-E-Line® correlation can be performed in one run.

Example Tubing Punch Logging in time domain, activation via ParaLog @ 16:36:28 Pressure and temperature before punch: 3741 PSI, temperature 149.42 °F. Pressure and temperature after punch: 3,627 PSI, temperature 149.06 °F. Vibration sensors and CCL are indicating the punch event.

ParaSheave The ParaSheave intelligent depth and tension system allows the winch operator to receive extremely accurate depth and tension from the stuffing sheave.

The ParaSheave can function both as back-up to existing wireline unit measuring heads or as a stand-alone depth and surface tension measurement system.

The Parasheave measurement system minimes wire bending to less than eleven bending cycles between a wireline reel and a lubricator, significantly improving wire longevity.

Mechanical & Electrical LoggingThe basic tool string for every SEL job consists of a Cablehead, a Communications Head and a Power Processing Unit which contains sensors for pressure, temperature, CCL, inclination, vibration, stress, relative bearing etc. The string is mechanically and electrically configured to interface with 3rd party logging, activation and other intelligent downhole tools. In addition to real time data transmission, memory data is recorded for all sensors.

ParaComm Antenna / Stuffing boxParaComm Antenna close-couples to the coated slickline and seals against well pressure (15 kpsi rating). The antenna wirelessly receives data coming up over the Slick-E-Line wire from the downhole tool and transmits operator commands from the Paralog surface control to the Slick-E-Line downwhole communication tools suit.

The sealing element is designed with a large cross sectional area providing an environment friendly seal and cleaning action during well interventions.

ParaControl data processing panelConfigured to match the infinite controllability of the Paradigm E-Winch, the state-of-the-art ParaControl system is the latest milestone in Human Machine Interface (HMI) technology.ParaControl offers manual control and automated control including safety features such as:

• Automated jarring

Line ManagementParadigm Line Management enhances wireline operational safety. The PLM process gathers and analyses wireline data such as surface tension, temperature, bending cycles, run length, jar number and DHT in real-time.The PLM monitors potential wireline failure hot spots (e.g. due to repeated localised jarring) and can generate alarms to signal upcoming potential line failures.

ParaLogParaLog is Paradigm's proprietary logging data acquisition software has been developed to meet the ever-changing demands of the oil industry, making it the most user-friendly experience currently on the market. All functions and commands have been designed with the user in mind, resulting in intuitive and simple control.
