Dear Colleagues

It is our pleasure to invite you to the combined meeting of the Tasmanian Branch of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO), and the Australia and New Zealand Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeons (ANZSOPS) to be held from 21-23 June 2019 in Hobart, Tasmania.

The meeting, titled Oculoplastic Surgery for the Comprehensive Ophthalmologist 2019, maximises the opportunity for the delegates to learn from the experts. As ophthalmologists, we are often confronted with oculoplastic problems that need attention. Our patients expect nothing less than a perfect result, both functionally and cosmetically. Not only is it important for us to keep abreast with the latest techniques but also to work on improving what we are already doing.

The meeting has two components:

Friday 21st June: A full day master class on oculoplastics. In this interactive session, commonly performed oculoplastic procedures will be discussed by experts from ANZSOPS in the form of a video and slide presentations.

Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June: There will be time for presentation of interesting cases, audits and free papers from other subspecialities.

The meeting itself will also be a wonderful opportunity to catch up with colleagues and friends, old and new, to share memories and get updated on the latest news and information in oculoplastics in particular but ophthalmology in general.

In addition to the scientific program, there is a lot happening in Hobart at that time including the Dark Mofo Festival. I would urge you to register and book your accommodation and flights early to avoid disappointment as Hobart has certainly become a very popular destination for travel throughout the year.

To register please use this link and if you have any questions in relation to the event, please call Conference Design at [email protected].

Looking forward to welcoming you in Hobart in June this year.

With best wishes
