Eyeglasses donated to help others seeOakville Eye Care collected more than 400 pairs of eye-
glasses for the Lions Club Recycle for Sight program.“Thank you to all our patients and the residents of Oakville
for helping make this eyeglasses drive a huge success,” Dr. Christine Yeung, of Oakville Eye Care and a Toronto Trillium Lions Club member.
The program was part of the club’s global Sharing the Vision campaign, which took place last month to raise aware-
ness of the importance of healthy vision.The collected eyeglasses will be cleaned and prepared for
distribution in developing countries where eyecare is often unaffordable and inaccessible.
Lions Clubs have helped the blind and visually-impaired since 1917, with a commitment to sight preservation and community service around the world.
