On 07-27·99,at approximately 1200hours, J contactedwitnessTyler BenjaminPearce by phone, who is a Columbine High
School student This was in reference to the shootingthat occurred on 04-20-99at ColumbineHigh School.
Tyler first said on 04-20-99.at approximately 0730 hours.hearrivedat ColumbineHighSchoolfor his scheduledclasses for
that day. Tyler said his first class on 04-20·99 was a video productions class on the upper level of ColumbineHighSchool,
Tylersaidone ofhis classmates in this videoproductionsclasswasEricHarris. Tyler saidon 04-20-99.EricHarriswaspresent
in this class. Tyler said he could not remember anything unusual in the way Eric Harris acted or talked on 04-20-99 Tyler

Tyler Pearce said he went to Iris scheduled classes after the video productionciass on 04-20-99 until his lunch period began
at approximately 1110hours on 04-20-99. Tyler said when his lunch period time began on 04-20-99 he left Columbine High
School for lunch. Tyler did not advise me of any suspicious people he could remember seeing upon leaving the school
Tyler Pearce said he has known Eric Harris since they were in the 7th grade. Tyler said Eric Harris "was a normal person" to
the best of ills knowledge. He said Eric Harris previously playedon sports teams. Tyler said Eric Harris also dressednormal
and said he did not believe that Eric Harris began wearing a trench coat until approximately two years prior to the shootingon
04-20-99. Tyler said thinking back. he remembered that Eric Harris"really loved" fireworks, and especially those that would
explode.
Tyler Pearce said approximately One to two weeks prior to the shooting on 04.20-99. Eric Harris made a Video in their video
oroductions class with Dylan Klebold. Tyler described this video that Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold made as being"weird"
and said it was animated. Tyler said this video was about graveyardsand skulls, Tyler said the Trench Coat Malia student'
would stay to themselves. He said he would see them gather in the cafeteria/commons area ofColumbine High Schooleither
at a table on the west side ofthe cafeteria near the windows. or on a bench underneath the stairway that leads from the upper
levelcfColumbine High School to the lower level and into the cafeteria/commonsarea. Tylersaid that Brian Sargeant seemed
to be friends with the Trench Coat Mafia students, and particularly with Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris. Tyler said he knew
who Brian Sargeant Was because Brian Sargeant get into a physical fight last year with Isaiah ShoeIs. Tyler said that Isaiah
Shoels is a friend of his, and said that Isaiah Shoeis WOD this fight, and said thatmay be the reason why Isaiah Shoels was shot
in the library on 04-20-99. I asked Tyler Pearce about anybodyracially harassing or racially intimidating Isaiah Shoels.Tyler
said he never sawanybody do either one to Isaiah Shcels and said in fact. "Everybodyloved Isaiah." Tyler said he did not ever
witness any of the other minority students at Columbine High Schoolbe racially harassed or intimidated either Tyler said he
never sawanybodyharass the Trench Coat Mafia students. andsaid the reports that he has seen in the mediaofthe TrenchCon;
Mafia students being harassed were false. Tyler said he did not see the "Trench Coal Malia" students harass anybody either
I askedTyler Pearce if he had any knowledge of anybody else being involvedin the shooting incident On 04-20·99.Tyler said
hat he knew Robyn Anderson was good friends of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, and said he could not see any way that

advisedme thathe andhis familyhaveall beendoingwell. I gaveTylermynameand phone numberand askedhimto contact
me in the future if anyone in his familywants to speakwith a leSO VictimAdvocate, I told him I wouldmake thenecessary
arrangements for them at that time.

On06-10-99, at about 1100hours, rresponded to 7321 S, Webster Street, to contact and interview JenniferKaty Periman. who
is a graduated student of Columbine High School. This interview was in reference to the shooting that occurred at Columbine
High School on 04-20-99.
Uponarrival at JenniferPerlman's house, I interviewed her inreference to whatknowledge she mayhaveabout Dylan Klebold,
EricHarri~nd any otherTrenchCoat Mafiastudents she mayhaveknownwhileattendingColumbine HighSchool
Jennifer advisedmethat she knewwhoDylanKlebold was, but otherthanthat, theonly thing she knew abouthimwas that she
believedhe worea trench coat whenshe would see him in the hallways. Jennifersaid she was not even sure of this
Jennifer advised me that she had never heard of Eric Harris prior to this incident. JC.o01.001001
Jennifer also told methatwhilesheattendedColumbine HighSchool duringthe 1997-1998 schoolyearshe remembers a female
by the nameof Michelle, however, shecould notremember her lastname. Jennifer said thatMichelleis an ex-Columbine High
School studenras well and also nowattends the University of Northern Colorado. Jennifersaid she recalls that Michelle wore

Jennifer said that she had known Joe Stair since they both attended elementary school at Dutch Creek Elementary School.
Jennifersaidshe did not know much abouthim otherthan she recalledthat he was"really quiet aroundpeople:' Shesaid while
they attended Dutch Creek Elementary School,people would make funof Joe Stairdue to the way he acted, and due to the way
he would stand in the same spot and just stare at the female students. lennifer said that she recalled in high school Joe Stair
would weara jean jacket with some typeof racialcommentson it, and she believedthese racial comments hadsomethingto do
with slavery, however,she was nor positive, Jennifersaid he alsohad something on thejacket that was writtenagamsrfemales.
however, she was not sure what that waseither Jennifer saidshe has not seen Joe Stair since graduation in the spring of 1998
Jennifer told me in the railof!997, a studentby the nameof Roben MalinCraigmurderedhis fatherand then committed suicide.
.he said this occurred in one of the residential areas in the area of Coal Mine and Pierce. Jennifer said that she believed that
RobertCraigwas a Trench Coat Mafiastudent,and said that he had satnext to her in a mathclassand listenedto "weird music:'
1askedJenniferwhat type of musicthis was that RobertCraigwouldlistento that 'he considered weird.and she said sherecalled
he listened to "Clown Posse." Jennifer said she could not recall any further information about Roben Craig.
I asked Jennifer if she had ever witnessedthe "jocks"or any otherstudentsharassthe Trench Coat Mafiastudents.and she said
no. she had not. She also 'aid she had not seen the Trench Coat Mafiastudents harass any other students either
I gave Jennifer Periman one of my business cards and asked her to contact me in the future if she 'Could locate any further
information about any of the Trench Coat Mafia students. Jennifer said she would contact me should she find an; more
information that may be beneficial to this case.

On 5-3-99 between the hours of 0923 and 1015 I had an opportunity to speak with Stephanie Plank in reference to the
Columbine High School incident that occurred On4-20-99
Stephanie stated that she arrived at school around 0700 hours and proceeded to the student store, which is located at the "Rebel
Comer" down near the cafeteria. She remained in that general area until about 0725 hours While in the Rebel Comer she
staled she was sealed at a table with a friend of hers by the name of James Helms. I provided Stephanie with a map of the
cafeteria. Unfortunately, the seating diagram does not depict the tables located in the Rebel Corner, thus she was unable to
give me an exact table location. Stephanie stated that after she left Rebel Comer she proceeded to class. She stated after her
third period class, which is Arts of the World, taught by Miss Nelson, she left theschool building at about 1010 hours for lunch

The vehicle that they drove to lunch in was Kendra's vehicle, Stephanie stated that it was parkednear Leawood Park, She
statedthey went to lunchin the Southwest Plazaarea and theywere not on campus when the incidentoccurred,and rt wasn't
until 1136 hourswhen they tried to return to school that they foundout about the incident.
Stephaniewas askedif she saw anything out of the ordinarywhenshe leftto go to lunch, Stephanie told me that at about 1020
hours she remembers they weredrivingnorthon Pierce andthey observed Chris Morrisin a smali redcompactcar. whichshe
describedas a Probe, She stated Chriswas driving out of the teacher's parking lotand describedhe was dressed in all black
and had a green beret hat on and sunglasses,
Stephaniewas asked if she knew any of the members of the Trench Coat Mafia, She stated in her freshman year she knewa
few of the members,Tad Bowles and Chris Morris.but she stated she hasn't really paid muchattention to the group andshe
-eal!ydoesn't know much about them,
I asked Stephanie if shewent to thepromand theafter-prom party Shestatedherdate was RyanWagenhuecht, 303-979-0746,
Stephanie was asked if she saw Eric Harris or Dylan Klebold at the prom of the after-prom party, She stated she did not.
Stephanie was also asked if she observed twolarge duffle type or sports bags in the cafeteria,one describedas beingblue and
the other orangish-red. She advisedme that she did not see those bags,
Stephanie could provide no additional Information concerning this incident.

On 6·16·99, I left a message on the answering machine for Pollard at 0908 hours, At 1636 hours.t again tried the number and
reached Pollard, I informed he' that! wascalling Columbine High School students to find out where they had been on 4-20·99
and what they might have seen or heard, I asked Pollard ifshe was assigned "A" lunch, and she stated she was, She stated that
she had fourth period math class with Mrs, Moore, I asked her where she went after she left that class She stated that she went
down the stairs, into the commons area and waited near the Rebel store for her friend. Jessica Hodack. She stated that Hodack
did not show up immediately SO Pollard walked back up the stairs and was near the library entrance when Hodack walked around
the corner She and Hodack then walked back down the stairs and past the cafeteria, [ asked Pollard if she noticed anything
unusual in the cafeteria" She stated she did not She stated that it was really busy as usual I asked her if there was anything
unusual in the way of backpacks or bags, She again stated there was nothing unusual and staled that they were norman)
everywhere and were on that day Pollard stated she and Hodack then went outside to the Junior 10L She stated that Hodack was

Smith, however,on that date they had a substitute teacher. Pousson staled that the class got out at ten after the hour, however,
he didn't know which hour that was. Pousson stated that he went out the door In the math hall. He stated that he does this at
all times to avoid the rush in the halls. He stated that he met hts friends, Kyle Kennett and Joe Murillo They then went to
Pousson's car in the junior parking lot, Poussonstaredhe had no ideawhich parking spot he parked in, I asked Pousson ifh.

I received a message froma female identifYing herselfas Christel Price'smother, Stephanie Price. She stated that Christel Price
was on vacation in South Carolina. but that I could contact her for the numberto reach her at. At 1635 hours, 1spoke with
Stephanie Price, whogave me a phone numberof 803·516·0302. in South Carolina.
On 06.16·99, at0932hours,I contacted thatphonenumber andI reached a female who Slated that ChristelPrice was at another
phonenumber, 803-531-1274 At0934, I contacted thatphone number andChristel Pricewas placed on the phone. I told Price
that I was interviewing ColumbineHigh School students reference the incident on 04-20-99 She stated that she was actually
at a DEC A. banquet at the Welishire Inn. She stated that she and anotherfriend, Merca Martinez, stopped for lunchat the
Burger King at Coal Mmeand Pierce. She statedas theyattempted to driveback to the school, there was a policecar coming
up behindthem. Shestated she pulledover and studentswererunning CUl, telling them that somethingwas happening. Price
staled she did notattempt to get intothe parkinglot and did not actually see anythingother than students running.

On 05-03-99 lead #2822 was assigned to contact "Dave Proctor" at phonenumber 973-0082. His name and phone number was on a list from Klebold'swallet.
On 05-11-99 I called the number of 303-973-0082. I contaoted a DaveProctor who states he knows Klebold for the 5th and 6th grade. He then wasmore friendly the last 2 years of high school. He and Klebold played Doomgame via the computer modems. The phone number is needed to connect to his
'mputer. Dave Proctor has Klebold's number also.
Dave Proctor is a senior at Columbine High School.

0082. At about 105l, Proctor left a messageon my voiceaudix.
On 06-15-99, at about 1107 hours.I againcontacted Proctor'shomeresidence, whereI spoke witha malewho identified himself
as David Proctor. Proctor stated that on 04-20-99, be was not at the schoolduring the incident. He stated that in addition to
having"A" lunch,he also has fourth periodfree.
I asked Proctor whathis third periodclass was. He statedthat it was Calculus with Mr. Higgins. He Stated that he left through
theMath hall andthen to the English areawhere he went to thepublications roomand droppedoff Ills backpack. Proctorstaled
that he then left the school through the mainball office area andwalkedto Clement Park, where his car was parked. Proctor
stated thathe wenthome for lunch and then loadedup his bike, fora bike ride he plannedto rakeafter school I askedhim if
he triedto return 10 the school. Proctor statedthat he had and uponapproaching Pierce,he saw people runningand turned mto
Clement Park,where he was told that there had been a shooting.

I asked Proctor if he knew either Dylan Klebold or Eric Harris, He stated that he had known both. Prc<:tor stated th.t he knew
Klebold since 5th or 6th grade and had become reacquainted with himduring hissophomore year. He stated that he and Klebcld
played Doom over the Internet. He then clarified that it wasn't actually the Internet that it was actually a direct modem
connection, I asked Proctorhow often he saw or did things withKlebold. He stated that they got together every couple of weeks
for midnight bowling. He stated that they played Doom sometimes as often as twice a week. Proctor stated that he did not want
to playas often as Klebold did, as his skill level was not near as good as Klebold. He stated that Kleoold would "kick my bun"
and stated that both Klebold and Harris were "absolutely amazing" at playing the game.
I asked him about his relationshipWIthEric Harris. He stated thathe had known Eric Harris since his sophomore year He Stated

three weeks prior to the incident. rasked him ifhe recalled the conversation. He stated that it was not anything unusual, along
the lines of "How ya doing" Okay." I asked Proctor ifhe had seen Klebold on the 20th and he stated he had not.
I asked Proctor when the last time was that he had spoken wirh Eric Harris. He stated that it was also about the same rime.

seen either Klebcld's or Harris' vehicles on the 20th. He stated he had not seen Klebold's "Beamer", but didn't know what
Harris drove.
I asked Proctor if findingout that the incident involved Kleboldand Harris surprised him and be stated it did. He stated that he
initiallyheard that students were involved and heard genericdescriptions, and initially wondered about Klebold and Harris, but
then immediately dismissed it, knowing they wouldn't be involved in something like this.

I askedProctor if he had heard Kleboldor Harris talkingaboutpipebombsand he stated he had not. He stated earlier this year,
Harris told him he had designed a Doom level that was ColumbineHigh Scheel. Proctor stated that he assumed that it was a
terrorist attack on the schooland that you acted as the SWAT team. I askedhim ifhe had ever seen the game. and he stated he
hadn't. I askedhim ifHarristoldhim whoelse he mayhave shewn the gameto andhe Slated he did not Proctor slatedthat since
the incident, he bad spoken WIth another student, Scott Carpenter, who stated that he had also heard about the Doom game
involving the school. Proctor stated that he and Carpenter were at more the same skill level, but he knew that Carpenter had
played the Doorn games with Harris and Klebold as well.
I asked him if he bad ever heard DylanKlebold or Eric Harristalkabout guns. He staredhe did not recall anything specifically,
but they had probablytalked about guns in the samesense as everyone else does,withpassingcomments. He statedthere would
have been nothing that stuck our reference guns or anything that seemedunusual.
I askedProctor if therewas anythingelse reference Kleboldor Harris that he thoughtmight be helpful. Proctor stated that since
the incident, he bas thought about them frequently and said that he has not seen anything in thinking about it that would have
pointedto this incidentOCCUlTing. I asked about other mends of Klebold and Harriswho he thought may have played the game
Proctor stated the only ones he was truly familiar with were Robyn Andersonand Patrick McDuffy
I asked Proctor if there was anything he had seen or heard priorto or since the incident that he thought might be of help. He
stated there was not anything that he could think of. He then statedthat a very coherent memory be has of Harris was playing
another game similar to Doom, called Hexen. Proctor also described it as being a "3D shoot 'em up type of game." Proctor
statedthatHarriswas a verynice guy over the phone and inperson,but thatduring the game,hewas "a sadisticprick." He stated
that in the game there is some sort ofa rnorph egg thar rurns you into a helpless little pig that run, away, but after Harris had
rurned Proctor into the pig, he also hit him with a fireball. He then, via the game, said "I smell bacon" after thar. Harris called

her afterthat. 1asked Proctor ifeither she or Klehold or Hams ever said anything about going to gun shows and he stated they
had not 1askedhim ifhewas surprised when he heard that RobynAnderson had helped purchase the guns andhe statedhe was
extremely surprised. Proctorslated he had knownAndersonsincehis freshman yearand they had been close mends fora period
of time. He staled that in his junior or senior year, they had drifted apart to some degree. I asked Proctor why he thought
Andersonwould buy the guns and he Staled be didn'tknow He statedthat Harriswas incrediblysmarrand knew how to handle
people and could probably convince her. He stated that Kleboidwas extremelysmart as well. but was shy I asked what the
relationship Was betweenKleboldand Anderson. Proctorstated that they were good friends and that they hung around at each
-ther's houses and went howling together, but that was as muchas he knew.
I asked Proctor to call if he thought of any other details or things that mightassist in the investigation and he agreed to do so

Narrative:
On 5-4-99 ! spoke with Ray Rawls the father of Travis Rawls reference information of this lead indicatingEric and Dylan didhot like Travls. I was told by Ray Rawls Travis was part of the group that coined thename "Trench CoatMafia". Travis was the quarter back of theColumbine High School football team in1997/1996. Ray lold meTravis and someof the otherjocks" were in the cafeteriaof Columbine in thefall of1997 when a group of the individuals walked through the areawearing trench coats. At the time it was verywarm outside and the majorityof the students in the school were wearing shorts and "T" shirts, they thoughtthis was weird and through talking aboutthe group !he term ..Trench CoatMafia"was coined. Mr. Rawlstold me his son hadgraduated last yearand is currently attending college at Western State. Hesaid hissonwould be back in two weaks but did offer a telephone number for me to call.
I thencalled Travis Rawls. He wastold! was following up a lead that EricHarrisand Dylan Klebold didnotlike him. Hetoldme he never did anything directly to them to harass them but was part of a group of guyswho coined thename"TheTrenchCoatMafia". I asked himto tell me aboutthis. He said healong with theotherguys "jocks" were at thair table in the cafeteria in the fall of 1997. Itwasabout 90 degrees outsideand everyone in school was wearing shorts except this group of guys wearing trenchcoats. When theywa I through thecafeteria his group began making comments like look at the trench coats, one personsale they look liketheyare in the mafia, then someone said theyare In the Trench CoatMafia. He said hehad made at leastoneof these comments but could not ramember what he had said at that time. Since thatdate thatwas their identity. Travis told me afterthe term "TCM" was given 10 the groupthere was lessharassment than before they had a name. It seemed theynowhada name and enjoyed !he identify Healso told me he was thequarterback for the football team and that group did not like the "jocks". On 6-15-9<1, I was assigned lead #4430 to interview Matthew Ray, a Columbine High School student on 4-20·99. who was
assigned"A" lunch.
00 6-15-99, at 1002hours, I left a messageon an answering machineat the listed homephonenumberfer Ray, (303) 948-7972.
At 1539hours, I left a message with a femalewho answeredthat phone. 00 6-16-99, at 0915 hours, I again left a messageon
an answering machineat thatnumber. At 1650hours, Jagainleft a message with the femalewhoansweredthephone. Shestated
at that timeshe was going to call Ray at his friend's bouseand askhim ttl call me.
006-16.99. at 1700hours;« male called, identifYing himselfas MatthewRay. I explamed to him that I was calling reference
Columbine High Schooland the incidentoccurring on 4-20-99, I asked him ifhe bad beenat the school. He stated thathe had
not He statedhe stayed horne thatday. 1askedhim ifbe was sick, and he stated be was nor, I asked him whyhe stayedhome,
and he initially did not answer me, In the backgroundI couldbear numerousvoices and giggling,Ray eventuallystated it was
a ditch dayand said, "You know4-20," I askedhim whalhe meant and he againdid not answer, but giggled. I again asked him
whathe meantand be saidall his friends bed ditchedbecause it was "you know4-20." Laskedhim if he meant marijuana.and
be responded, "Yes." I asked Ray Ifanyonehad calledhim in withan excusedabsence, He stated that be didn't think his mom
would call him in as excused for thaI reason. I asked him who had been at his residence with him, and be staled he had been

thlIthis friendUlrich had told him I asked him ifhe knew either Kleboldor Harris by sight, and he stated be did not. I asked
him ifhe had seen either one of them on 4.20·99, andhe statedhe badnot and he had been home all day.

On 06-16-99, at about 1425, I contacted the Reininger phone number and Spoke witha male who identified himseifas Gary
Reininger. l told him I wascalling Columbine High School students reference the incidenton 04-20-99, and understood that
hehad "A"lllIlCh. Reininger stated that be alsobadfourth period free Reininger statedon 04-20-99, he was at the school. He
Stated thatduringthird period, he has Spanishclass. He stated thathe left the Spanishclass, which is on the lower level of the
school, walking up the Stairs, past the commons and cafeteria area. I askedhim Ifhe noticedanythingunusual in that area,and
he staled he did not. H. stared that duringthattimeflamethere was a largecrowd of kids leaving the foreign language hall going
upstairs, as wellas numerouskids comingdown the stairs. Hestated that in the cafeteriasittingdown, there are not normal!y
too manykids at that time, however, there are a few. Reininger statedthathe did not noticeanythingunusual. [asked him if
he had noticedany unusualbags or backpacks in the cafeteria and hestated be did not. Reiningerstatedthat be wentupstairs
to his locker, leaving through the mainentrance,near- the officearea of the school. He stated that he Went to his car. which 1lv11S
parked in ClementPark and went bornefor lunch. Reininger statedthat about I [.20 or 11.25, he attempted to return to the

the incident that he might have heard or seen which he thoughtmight be helpful. Reininger said that during the previous school
year, he had seen Kleboid and Harris yelling at "jocks", who were seniors and who would have already graduated. I asked
Reininger if he knew who these students were and he Slatedhe did not.

was assigned"A" lunch.
On06-15,99,at 0836 hours, I left. message with. female at the listed number for Rissmiller at the listed home phone number.
973-0821. Atabout 16!0 hour" I receiveda return call from Rissmiller. I told Rissmiller that we were contacting Columbine
High School srudents to fllldout wheretheywereat on 04-20-99 and toldhimlhat I understoodthet he had "A't lunch. RJsSl11111er
statedthathe hadactually beenoff campus and had been ditchmgschool. He stated that hi, fourth period class was ruarkeung
with Ms. Fromerand that was the class he ditched in order to go to Taco Bell. Rissmiller stated that hi, third period class was
Philosophywith Mr. Kreutzer. He stated that upon leavingthe Philosophyclass with another student, Dave Malone, he went
through the Social Studies haH by the main offices and Out through the upper commons down the ourside cement stairs
Rissmillerstated that b. and Maione went to hi, ear, parked in the senior 10< in space #271. I asked Rissmiller if be noticed
anythingunusualas be exitedthe school and be staledhe did not I asked him ifhe had been in the cafeteria at any point during

frequently.
I asked Rissmiller if there was anything specific about either Harris or Klebold which he thought might be of assistance to us.
He Staled there was not. I asked him if taere was anything be had either beard or seen prior to or since the incident Ihat he

On 05-24-99, ! spokewith BryantRodemich reference lead113543. This leadwasto determineBryant'5 whereabouts during5th
nested as the recordsreflect he !ladthis periodfree. Duringmy telephone interviewwith Bryant on 05-24-99, he told me that
,tehad left theschoolat approximately II :iO,afterattending his4th period classof Math. He said he walkedfromthe classroom
downstairs into the cafeteria and then exited the building. He then went to a vehicle owned by Mike Writz and they lett the
parkinglot. Mike Writz drives a whiteHondaand parks in thejunior lot. I asked Bryantat the time he went into the cafeteria,
ifhe sawanythingsuspicious Bryanrrcldme he did not. I specifically askedhim!fhe saw. duffle!laganywhere in thecafeteria
that seemedoutof piace and he said he didnot recallanY1hing. I asked himwhenhe was in the parking lot ifhe hadseen anyone
suspiciousand he SOld he had not. Bryant told me that he had lett the school with threeof his friends, Mike Writz, the owner
of the whiteHonda. John Harrison, and DerekJohnson. Hesaidhedoesbelievetho! Mikeand Derekdid see two peoplewalking
towardtheschool intrenchcoatsas theywere leaving the parkfng let, but inconversation with them.since the incident of 04-:;0

On05·24-99. I spoke with Kirk Rodibaugh. This lead was to determinehis whereabouts during fifth period as records reflect
he had this period free. During my interviewwith Rodibaugh. he told me he bad walked horneat the end of fourth hour as his
home is a v~ry short distance from the school, He said he ieft the school through the front door out onto Pierce. and during his
walkaway fromschoolhedid not noticeanythingunusuaL He was i1Q( awareof the incidentuntil he was called by his mother
while he was: still home at lunch. He said he remainedhomeanddid not return to the school.
