A BRIEF GUIDE ON WHAT TO EXPECT FOR YOUR COLOURS SELECTIONS CONSULTS

OUR COLOURS SELECTIONS PROCESS

The Colours Selections stage is a very exciting time of your build. It’s where you get to choose the various internal and external fixtures and colours that will form a large part of your new home.

We’ve planned our Colours Selections Consults over a three stage process so as to ensure that throughout each stage, we manage your selections carefully and there is plenty of time for each consult. From past experience we’ve found that holding all consults on the single occasion generally leads to a lot of decisions made at the one time. Three stages will allow you to make the right decisions for your home and budget without having to rush from one consult to another.

We’ve listed some helpful tips and general information to get you ready for your Colours Selections Consultations down the track.

PREPARING YOURSELFThe Colour Consultant who will assist you at your consult is trained to guide you in combining your finishes and explaining the features and benefits of upgrade offerings. When the Consultant understands your preferences, lifestyle and budget, they will be better equipped to assist you to make the best choices. Therefore, we recommend prior to your consults, it’s in your best interests to gauge a general idea as to what types of consults you’re attending and fixtures and colours that will be discussed.

HOW DO I PREPARETry and understand what features and finishes come standard in your new home by referring to brochures provided in your colour pack outlining all the inclusions in your package and your Tender document. Essentially, the better prepared you are the less time the consults will take. For a smooth consult, please come with the majority of your decisions made if possible. As there is a lot to discuss, we also recommend if possible for young children to be looked after while you’re at your consult.

At the conclusion of each consult, you will be required to sign off on your selections chosen that day. We will provide you with plenty of time at the end of the consult to review your paperwork and upgrades so we encourage you to carefully confirm all selections as there is a $500 admin fee charged to make any changes after you sign off on the day of the consult.

The Selections Studio’s you visit will exhibit a variety of finishes, fixtures, colours etc. to touch, see and experience. These include carpet samples, kitchen and bathroom joinery colours and finishes, kitchen appliances, exterior finishes, tapware, toilet fixtures and more. This allows you to gain a general sense on the quality and colours of those selections.

YOUR QUICK CHECKLISTReread your package inclusions at the back of your Tender Document or Inclusion brochure in your colour pack prior to coming to your Selections consult so that you are familiar with your inclusions.

Make a list of any questions you may have

Create a wish list of upgrades to be discussed and decided on at your consult.

Pricing will be provided to you on the day. Try and arrange to visit some of our Display Homes when possible to get some ideas.

Look at magazines and sites like Pinterest and Houzz for inspiration and bring these along to your selections appointment so your Consultant can assist you in achieving the style and feel you would like for your brand-new home.

Consider and identify your budget allocation for upgrades.

If you have small children, if possible try and arrange for a babysitter when attending your consults. As much as we love kids – Colours Selections at times can be lengthy with young kids often becoming restless after a while.

OUR COLOURS STAGES

STAGE 1EXTERNAL COLOURS CONSULT

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO BOOK AND ATTEND THE AUSTRAL BRICKS COLOURS STUDIO FOR YOUR CONSULT. HERE YOU WILL SELECT EXTERNAL FIXTURES OF YOUR HOME. SEE BELOW FOR STAGE 1 DETAILS.

STAGE 2INTERNAL COLOURS CONSULT

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND LIFESTYLE INTERIORS FOR YOUR CONSULT. HERE YOU WILL SELECT INTERNAL FIXTURES OF YOUR HOME. SEE CORRESPONDING PAGE FOR STAGE 2 DETAILS.

STAGE 3FINISHING TOUCHES CONSULT

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND MULTIPLE SUPPLIERS FOR YOUR FINISHING TOUCHES CONSULTS. HERE YOU WILL SELECT THE FINISHING TOUCHES FOR YOUR HOME. SEE CORRESPONDING PAGE FOR DETAILS.

STAGE 1EXTERNAL COLOURS CONSULT

Stage 1 will see you visit our supplier Austral Bricks to select External colours for your new home. This consult is approximately 1 hr long. At this stage you will select the below fixtures and colours:

External bricks with Austral (please refer to your signed tender for what range you have included)

Windows with Trend Windows

Garage Door with Dynamic Door Service

Roof with either Bristile or Colorbond (depending on your selection)

Gutter, Fascia, Downpipes and Water Tank with Colorbond

Driveway with Austral

Before you begin your Colours Selections consults, you will receive an email from your appointed CSA. These emails will be sent prior to the start of each Colours Stage and will provide details on contact information and the location of your consultations.

WHERE WE START

STAGE 2INTERNAL COLOURS CONSULT

STAGE 3FINISHING TOUCHES CONSULTANT

Stage 2 will see you visit our Internal Consultants Lifestyle Interiors who will walk you through all your Internal Colours Selections. Please allow a minimum of 2 hours for this consult. At this stage you will select the below fixtures and colours:

External Door Appliances for your Kitchen, Laundry and (Butler if applicable)

External Hardware’s - Door handles Sinks for your Kitchen, Laundry (Butler if applicable)

Internal Doors - feature doors Wet areas - tap ware, basins, baths, toilets, shower screens and niches

Internal hardware’s - Door handles Architraves, skirtings and cornices

Stair case designs - standard as per package and upgrade options

Wardrobe mirror sliding doors or other upgrade options

Internal Paint colours - 3 coat 1 colour main walls- same colour in gloss for internal wood work

Wardrobe or WIR built in fit outs

Kitchen tap ware Flooring - Carpet or upgrade finishes including Laminate

Stage 3 will see you visit a number of our suppliers who will assist you in selecting the finishing touches for your home. At this stage you will select the below fixtures and colours:

At your Kitchen Consult with Brindabella you will discuss the following:Finalise Kitchen colours, finishes, joinery finishes, stone bench tops, splashbacks and kitchen cabinet handles Finalise wet area colours and finishes and bathroom handles View Vanity cupboards & sizingView laundry fit outs - finishes, bench top, joinery and layout sketches and handles View Butler’s Pantry - design layouts, finishes, joinery, sketches and handles stone

At your Electrical Consult with Clipsal you will discuss the following:Electrical layout - location of lighting, tv points, down lights if applicable, feature lighting, external lighting, cabling for mounted TVs, NBN and more

At your Air Conditioning Consult with Ultra Air you will discuss the following:Air Conditioning Outlets, Diverter systems, zones for the air conditioning and more

At your Tile Consult with Abruzzo Tiles (or Tile Direct for Central Coast) you will discuss the following:Tile selections and designer ranges for areas as nominated in your Tender and Inclusions packages
