The Super All-Wheel Control system features four driver-selectable modes: ECO sends power to the front wheels during normal driving to improve fuel efficiency yet can instantly transfer power to all four wheels the moment any slippage is detected, NORMAL for everyday conditions, SNOW for winter conditions, and LOCK for low traction situations.

REFRESHING SILENCEThe 2016 Outlander has received 31 noise reducing enhancements to ensure a quieter more enjoyable cabin. Refinements include new acoustic windshield glass, sound dampening sheets and foam blocks throughout the interior to name only a few of the 31 changes; ultimately made to insulate, isolate and mitigate unwanted noise, vibration and harshness experienced on your daily commute. So less noise gets between you and your talk radio, if that’s what you’re into. It’s our way of letting you enjoy a little bit of quiet time.

ADVANCED SAFETYThe available sophisticated safety features, Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM)¶ and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)‡, aboard the Outlander use advanced radar technology to constantly monitor the vehicle’s position in relation to other vehicles in front of it on the road. FCM will intervene if a possible frontal collision is detected and provide warnings as well as apply the brakes as necessary. ACC maintains a set driver-determined distance between you and the vehicle ahead ensuring a protective zone in front of the Outlander at all times. Both features will warn you with visual and audible alerts to ensure your absolute safety.
