Colour Influences is our way of celebratingcolour. Every year the Crown expert panelassembles to discuss fresh trends, with the aim of inspiring people in their homes. So, it is with great pleasure that we introduce the Autumn/Winter 2017 edition of Colour Influences.

NEVILLE KNOTTCrown Colour Consultant Ireland.

Lecturer and Broadcaster, Head of Interior Design at the Dublin Institute ofTechnology.Neville has also presented a number of interior design shows both in Ireland and on the Home Channel in the UK.

JUDY SMITHCrown Colour Consultant.

Judy is an interiors expert; having worked as a homes journalist, stylist and Art Director. She now concentrates oncolour and trend forecasting for clients in the UK andEurope, enjoying a longrelationship with Crown Paints as our Colour Consultant.

JUSTYNA KORCZYNSKACrown Design Studio.

Justyna works in the CrownCreative Design Studio. She is involved in various design projects including packaging and literature design, as well as bringing her photography skills to the creative team.

LISA MILLERCrown Design Studio.

Lisa has many years of experience working in the Crown Creative Design Studio.Her work involvesbrochure and packaging design alongsidecolour trends and colour scheming.

KATHRYN LLOYDColour Specialist.

Kathryn has extensive experience in the fashion,design, interiors and trade sectors. Currently working as part of a dynamic team that provides colour advice to trade customers, she brings a wealth of corporate and personal expertise to the panel.

All of the colours shown are available in a wide range of high quality professional finishes including Crown Trade’s super scrubbable Clean Extreme emulsions, perfect for maintaining that ‘justpainted’ look.

Intrigue invites us to look to the evening, bringing with it anunpredictable atmosphere of mystery and drama.

The palette depicts colours at their deepest and most absorbing, pairing midnight blues and rich greens with the iridescence of a blue bottle fly. There are accents of yellow that punctuate big blocks of colour like moonlight on the water.

The intensity of colour befits the trend perfectly, evoking the secrecy of the night that is both magical and intriguing.

An aerial view of the sweeping countryside, revealing nature’s patterns from above, Patterned Landscape encourages us to take a step back and appreciate the bigger picture.

Dewy greens and milky browns are stitched together with accents of white andcopper metallic to add texture and bring the landscape to life. The overall effect is one of organic formation and materialcontrasts, together depicting the land’s natural patchwork.

The stunning mosaic of colour will be most impactful as a bold and graphic feature wall. More importantly, this trend urges us to take a new perspective and look at things in a slightly different way.

An influence born from our ongoing desire for bringing the outside in, it reinforces our need to take stock and just breathe.

The overall look is graphic; a more simplified look at our rural landscape than a photograph. Tones ofmoss green are key with a hint of copper metallic to add a sense of 3-dimensionality and texture.”
