COLORADO CRICKET LEAGUE 2016 AGM

LCC won both the championships with FCCC and FRCC being the runners up in T20 and Premier tournaments. We have started work on the 501 c(3) status and plans are to continue working on it in 2017. USACA is in the process of being certified or decertified in a couple of weeks and based upon the outcome CCL will decide what we need to do. Team Colorado did very well. We hosted and won the Tri-League tournament during memorial weekend and also participated well in the Unity cup. We have a new team joining us next year – Denver Cricket Club. Treasurer’s report – Srinivas went over the numbers. We ended with around 9000 balance. Several transactions were pending and would be finalized by the end of the year. CACU report – Raj and Bodha reviewed the season from CACU’s point of view. They cleaned up the rules document. Several fines were issued for non compliance and discipline. A few umpires were decertified because of bad grades from the captains. Chucking was discussed by the officers but without a process in place to address it, it was deferred to the new EC to take it on. Teams need to take umpiring seriously and diligently send umpires to all games. Possibly ensure that level 1 certified umpires are sent to playoff games. We were fortunate to get all washed out games rescheduled. The Green Valley Ranch ground has been officially certified for CCL use. CACU would like to see all pitches properly marked and maintained. Vamsi Kanumuri Match report
Team Colorado Report – Satyam reviewed Team Colorado’s performance this year. We won the Memorial invitational tournament against TSCL and Utah. Suresh and Shailesh were the main people being this successful tournament. In the Unity cup Sumeet Khule scored a hundred but we failed make the semifinals. Lesson learnt – we need to put more emphasis on team practices and try to get the best 11. Team Colorado needs the support of all the teams in Colorado. RMSG Report – Raymond reported that the key is to increase our participation. This is one avenue where we expose cricket to the masses and we need all teams to commit to support this tournament. Youth Cricket Report – Ramesh mentioned that he had started the program in his son’s school and planned to expand it to other schools. Mike Riley in Fort Collins and Raymond in Colorado Springs also have had some success. ELECTIONS: All positions were filled unanimously with no opposing candidates. CCL EC: President – Suresh Talatoti – Nominated by Bodha and seconded by Raj Vice President & CACU President – Arvind Hosur – Nominated by Satyam and seconded by Murali Treasurer – Satya Pushadapu – Nominated by Rohit and seconded by Murali Secretary – Rajesh Rathod – Nominated by Bodha and seconded by Manjeet CACU EC: Vice President – Ramesh Appat – Nominated by Ben and seconded by Naveen Scheduler – Raymond Mascarenhas – Nominated by Naveen and seconded by Suresh
