1.1 Differences between Spanish, English, French

French Spanish English

It was expected that by converting Indians to Catholicism, the French would be able to make more reliable allies

French Jesuits were also ambitiously

active in converting Indians to their Brand Catholism.

France built the first colonial empire in

North America, called New France, which stretched from the Gulf of St. Lawrence to the Rocky Mountains and west to the Gulf of Mexico to the south. The French also colonized the Antilles: Saint-Domingue, Saint Lucia and Dominica and Guadeloupe and Martinique. In South America, the French tried to establish three colonies, of which only one survived to this day: French Guiana.During this period of colonization, the French founded several cities such as Montreal, Quebec in Canada, Baton Rouge, Detroit, Mobile, New Orleans and St. Louis, United States, and Port au Prince and Cap Haitian in Haiti.

Spanish government wanted to monopolize on the market.

Columbus wanted to convert into

Christianity and found that "to engage their bodies and their wealth, to assist Europeans in a final crusade to crush Islam and reclaim Jerusalem.

The Franciscan friars of Spain were

motivated to emigrate to America in an effort to convert the Pueblo Indians.

They raided homes, confiscated

ceremonial emblems, destroyed the idols and gods contaminated native.

They wanted to impose a new religion to teach their religious beliefs colonized and thus to have a better relationship. religion because at that time played an important role in the minds of human beings.

From the English perspective, there was a

clear expectation of a bountiful, fertile, and relatively easy to maintain oasis that awaited them, and that England would become even greater because of it.

To plant the Christian religion, for

trafficker, to conquer "(Mancall, 39). These three different motivations inspired a wide range of settlers, all of which were driven by different motivations.

For the English, the establishment of

Christianity in the New World seems somewhat contradictory.

For English, there was nothing worse than

facing the possibility of a new world ruled under the banner of the Pope.

Similarities between the Spanish, English and French

The three cultures wanted to teach a new method of religious education because in this way would be easier to teach new customs and to have a better "communication."

The Spanish and French used the same method of conquest that had been previously used with other cultures because their only hope was to obtain profits from a beautiful land, exploit it to become more powerful, and it to be sold in their country.

All countries were interested in marketing the wealth that gave them the New World, and although the English were the least aggressive were also involved in this type of new marketing.

Each country struggled to conquer different areas of the New World and in some ways to "educate" Although France and Spain did so using a violent method of removing some way the dignity of the Native American

My opinion on this issue is of total agreement that the Native Americans were handled by the Conquistadors because they tricked the Native Americans with false promises and false statements, and promised them and made them believe that this was a new Era of freedom and that was a new world where they were going to enter to an era of civilization and comfort, when in fact the only expectations of these beings called "conquerors" was to destroy the sense of belonging to the Native Americans, destroy their race history, religious beliefs, and damage the land cultivated for centuries because they wanted profit from that beautiful land, and also wanted to get an advantage of those simple beings of conviction, making slaves of their own land. While they were marketing and giving them false ideas about the new world of freedom and perfection using persuasive methods such as religion.

The primary factor that helped the Europeans to the domination of people of Native Americans was religion, as through this is easily mastered in humans, as the needs that have them believing in a superior God, punishing, miracle, makes him easy target for control.

Throughout history religion has been the “drug” of people is a way of escaping reality, can easily become weak and fall all the native population, and marvels at the promise offered by this through submission . Through religion could create strenuous working hours, implementing punishments, in exchange for the salvation.Europeans were exploiters, punishing of innocent people which in culturalize thereby breaching their customs and traditions.

The benefit or profit was not for America, I was for Europe, because Europe is benefiting economically from the extraction of raw materials, human labor exploitation, and imperialism; territorial, exercising domination in the economic, social and cultural development without this will generate costs that could be rewarded for such exploitation.

The process of colonization can be seen as the exploitation of man to man where Spain specifically using exploits religious morality Native Americans, are deprived of their culture and imposing their culture in a violent way ignoring the value, and respect is another way to enslave a people to have their own benefit. If there existed the possibility of having been colonized by another more advanced culture is not likely pertain to developing countries and exploited if we would shift from the list of developed countries. However, it is important to note that Latin American people the brutal process of conquest made them stronger, entrepreneur, fighter but in this way are the country's "power" they closed the doors to development
