Winning the semifinals in the A-10 Championship tournament to make the Finals.

What is your favorite part about being a student-athlete?

I love being on a team. Your teammates are your best friends and the camaraderie that our

team shared with one another is something I’ll never forget.

What is something about you that would surprise other people?

I played soccer from age 4 until senior year in high school and I almost played in college.

I have been involved with the music department at GW since my freshman year.

• Women’s tennis head coach Dawn Buth was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Coach of the Year after leading the Colonials to the A-10 tournament final.

• The women’s swimming team had the fifth best team Grade Point Average (GPA) in all of NCAA women’s swimming during the 2009-10 year.

• ESPN included Coach Bozeman’s three player recruiting class among the top 50 in all of women’s college basketball.

• Kelsey Honeyford earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll Distinction at the end of her senior season.

• GW baseball players Tom Zebroski and Eric Cantrell were both selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 2010 MLB first-year player draft.

Men’s Rowing Recap The Colonials men’s rowing team finished another strong season with a trip to the IRA National Championship Regatta. The Varsity Four boat reached the national semifinals, and missed the finals by less than a second. The Varsity Eight boat beat rival Georgetown during the Eastern Sprints and the freshman boats finished very strong.

GW women’s rowing ended its season with one of its best races of the season. The second varsity boat made it to the second level final, and the Varsity Eight had its best finish of the season. This fall, the Colonials will welcome Stephanie Chivers as the new assistant coach.

• Women’s volleyball was picked to finish third in the Atlantic 10 this fall. Coach Coronel’s team will try to win the A-10 and reach the NCAA tournament.

• Women’s soccer added six new members to the team, including preseason A-10 All-Rookie Team members Alex Neal and Jane Wallis.

• The men’s soccer team added ten players from six states and Venezuela.

• The men’s water polo team added six recruits, and will play in competitions in Annapolis, MD, Princeton, NJ and Claremont, CA, this year.

• Men's and women's cross country each returns with their top two runners for the upcoming season.
