With many industries struggling In these difficult economic times, Florida agriculture has emerged as the strongest pillar of our state’s economy. Continued strength depends on the com-mitment of our youth. The Collier County Fair is a great example of how this community is culti-vating the next generation of leaders to guide the future of Florida agriculture.
Congratulations to all of you who worked tirelessly throughout the year to make this year’s event the best yet. Enjoy the fair

LIFE’S NOT “FAIR” Fundraiser and Silent Auction
On Monday, March 19, 2012 the Fair Board will be hosting the Second Annual Cancer Fundraising and Silent Auction event at the Collier County Fair to benefit our fellow Fair Board member Cheryl Gross who was diagnosed with Stage IV Melanoma Cancer October 2010. This year “It is Going To Be Huge” will provide our donators and sponsors with more exposure and larger crowds. We decided to host the event on the opening Monday evening which corresponds with the health and wellness day at the fair. We will team up with other local charities such as the American Cancer Society and the Blood Mobile to maximize our fundraising potential. The majority of our efforts will focus on raising money through silent auctions, donations, and sponsorships. Contributions at last year’s event helped the Fair Board to raise approximately $8,000. With the support and generos‐ity of our community we hope to achieve our goal of $10,000 for this year’s event. For information on the event or becoming a sponsor please contact the Fair office at 239‐455‐1444.
