Ottet power-operated collet chuck system with stroke limiter

The clamping force is initiated by means of a hy-draulic or pneumatic pull cylinder of the machine. The clamping force can be limited by adjusting the mechanical stroke, allowing very thin workpieces with a wall thickness of as little as 0.25 mm to be clamped without deforming. The adjustment mechanism is accessible from the outside, so that the mechanical stroke can be set directly on the machine. The chuck is suitable for external and internal chucking.

Ottet pneumatic front end chuck system

Air-operated collet chuck for Ottet collets for inter-nal and external chucking. The collet chuck has an internal clamping piston that can be charged with compressed air. This allows it to be attached to machines with or without a pull cylinder – all that is needed to transfer the air to the rotating spindle is a rotary leadthrough. The chuck is sui-table for external and internal chucking. No rinsing through the centre available.

Compressed air collet chuck for Ottet collets for internal and external clamping. The collet chuck has an internal clamping piston which can be actu-ated with compressed air. This makes it possible to mount it on machines with or without a tensioning cylinder - all that is required is a rotary feedthrough to transfer the air into the rotating spindle. The clamping force can be limited by means of me-chanically adjusting the stroke, so that even very thin-walled workpieces down to a wall thickness of 0.25 mm can be clamped without deforming them. The mechanical stroke adjustment is accessible from outside and can be adjusted directly on the machine. The chuck is suitable for both external and internal clamping. No rinsing through the cent-re available.

Pneumatic control

With our pneumatic control (option) the tension or release function can be controlled via M-Function of the machine. In the other can be made to see whether the food is opened or closed, or whether there is a leak in the system, or pressure drop. Even with double spindle machines the transfer process can be safely controlled or monitored.

For controlling a air-operated chuck via the M function in order to protect the machine. Safety:Spindle can only start if the workpiece is clamped. Jaws do not open while spindle is running. Protection against pressure drop.
