Don’t miss out on the community event of the year! Spend time with neighbors and friends and
take part in fun, family-oriented activities at
Upper Providence Township’s Annual
Community Day on Saturday, September 16th.
Join us at Anderson Farm Park for the Business
Expo and Craft Show from 1:00 – 5:00 pm,
where residents can view and purchase items
from the local crafters. Enjoy live music with
Second Childhood at 3:00 pm and Asbury Fever
starting at 6:00 pm. Meet the police officers and
firefighters that serve Upper Providence Town-
ship.
Children’s events include checking out our very popular “Touch a Truck” event, courtesy of the
Public Works Department,
Community Day, September 16th, at the
Upper Providence Township Recreation Center

and enjoying demonstrations, inflatables, a pet-
ting zoo, face painting, pony rides and other
children’s events. In addition, our Teen Zone
features a zip line and car racing!
For the first time, Sly Fox Brewing Company
will be hosting a “Beer Garden” for adults (Be
sure to bring your ID for access). Also bring
you’re appetite for our featured food vendors,
including Capt'n Chucky's Crab Cake Com-
pany, Oaks Smoke Catering, Chick-Fil-A,
M&N Funnel Cakes, Allen’s Sno Cones, Ket-
tle Corn and more.
The day will finish up with our fantastic fire-
works display, the highlight of our Community
Day. See you there!
The Township has moved!
The administrative building is now under
construction. Residents should take all of
their in-person tax, administrative, and
planning and zoning-related business
across the street to the Township Meeting
Hall until construction is over. Please

This afternoon game program is a great
way to meet new friends and workout your
brain while playing Mah Jongg, cards,
chess, and checkers!
SilverSneakers / Silver and Fit / Older Adult
SilverSneakers and Silver & Fit are programs designed to encourage older adults to participate in physical activities that will help them to maintain
greater control of their health. They sponsor activities and social events designed to keep seniors healthy while encouraging social interaction.
These programs are available around the country, and membership provides access to any participating
gym location--including all amenities included with basic level access.
Upper Providence Township Recreation Center participates in both of these programs. Membership is
FREE for most (some insurance plans charge a $25 annual fee). SilverSneakers and Silver & Fit Memberships include: Full Facility Membership,
free morning fitness classes, Wednesday Brain Games, Pickleball, many health related seminars, and social events scheduled throughout the year.
SilverSneakers and Silver & Fit programs are offered by your Medicare Supplemental Health Insurance provider. Please check with your insurer to
see if they offer one of these programs or stop by the Recreation Center to check your eligibility.

Our chess club meetings are broken up
into two portions. First, the coach teaches
a lesson. The lessons begin with rules and
basic strategy, and progress to become
more advanced. For the second half of
each meeting, the students are broken up
into pairs to play a game. Each player is
paired against an opponent of similar skill.

Each season we offer classes that enhance
drawing skills, train students in color the-
ory and boost self-confidence. It doesn't
matter if your child is new to drawing or a
seasoned pro; everyone is going to have

strives to inspire your child's imaginative
spirit and boosts classic learning skills.

Special Events
Healthy Kids Running
Series Fall 2017
Date: Sundays –9/24/17 thru 10/22/17
Location: Anderson Farm Park
Ages: PreK to 8th grade
The Healthy Kids Running Series is a five week running program
Each Race Series takes place once a week and offers age appro-
priate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4
mile, the 1/2 mile and the one mile run. Kids compete each week
of the Series for a chance to earn points and at the end of the Se-
ries the top boy and girl with the most points in their respective
age division receive a trophy. The $35 registration fee covers the
entire 5 week series and is non-refundable.

Kick off the Christmas celebration and see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Seats will be in the orchestra section. Show time: 11:00 AM. Free time after the show in New York City is also included.

Bus Trips
Cancellation and Refund Policy Program Cancellation and Refund Policy: Upper
Providence Township reserves the right to cancel any
program, trip or activity due to insufficient registra-
tion, inclement weather or any reasonable cause; in
this case a full refund will be issued. No refunds will
be issued for cancellations unless requests are
made in writing prior to 14 days of the start of a
program. All refunds are subject to a 15% proc-
essing fee. No refunds or credits will be issued for
cancellation of bus trips, or cancellations made after
the start of a program. There is a $25.00 fee for all
returned checks.
