2020-2021 Application Checklist
The University of Texas at Austin Cooperative Superintendency Program (CSP)
THE PROCESS
Submit a nomination form or be nominated by December 15th
Sign up and take the Graduate Record Examinations® (GRE), www.ets.org/gre/ UT GRE Code: 6882 (if your scores are older than five years or you have not yet taken the GRE)
I. UT Graduate School Requirements due by January 15th: All nominees need to apply officially via The Apply Texas website. Information about how to apply can be found at the UT Graduate School website at https://gradschool.utexas.edu/how-to-apply
Apply for UT-Austin graduate admission per the UT-Austin Graduate School at www.ApplyTexas.org
Remit $65.00 non-refundable application fee as per UT-Austin Graduate School instructions
Provide the email addresses of three (3) professional references, via your UT-Austin Graduate School application
Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended for submission by that institution. Learn more about submitting transcripts at the Graduate School’s website: https://gradschool.utexas.edu/how-to-apply#Transcripts

II. Department of Educational Leadership and Policy and CSP Program Requirements due by January 15th:
Upload your Resume in CSP Format and a Self-Presentation Paper to your graduate school application via UT Graduate School's Admissions "Check My Status". In your resume, include descriptions of your leadership/work, relevant training, etc. For the Self-Presentation paper, depict in your own words what you judge to be your peaks & valleys, assets and needs as you confront the prospect of being selected as a student in the program, in 3-6 double-spaced pages. Head the piece: “SELF-PRESENTATION (one line) of YOUR NAME (second line).” This may be done 24-48 hours after submitting the official UT-Austin Graduate School application.
Upload current resume statement of purpose, three letters of recommendation AND an unofficial updated copy of candidate service record from most current school district though the UT Graduate School application process https://gradschool.utexas.edu/how-to-apply
III. Assessment Center BY INVITATION ONLY on February 20th, 2021: Selected candidates will be invited to an Assessment Center in Austin, TX. Invited candidates will receive advance notification of their February 20th, 2021 assessment time, location and activities and must bring the following: (NOTE: Date & times for Assessment Center are subject to change; please continue to check website and/or contact program directors directly)
$50.00 fee to be paid to the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy for the Assessment Center expenses. Please include student's name, UT EID and ‘CSP fee’ on a check/money order only (NO CASH) and make payable to the University of Texas at Austin. Proceeds may be used in general support of the College of Education. Please note this fee is separate from and in addition to the UT Graduate School application fee.
Further details will be provided to those canditates invited to participate in the Assessment Center

Timeline for Nominations, Applications, Selection and Admissions
SEPTEMBER through DECEMBER
Take the GRE NOW!
Nominations accepted for the 2021 Austin-based CSP Cohort and should be submitted via the online Nomination Form by December 15th.
Sign up to take the GRE Exam unless you have a valid score from exam taken within the last five years. Learn more about the GRE Exam.
OCTOBER through NOVEMBER
Prepare and submit application materials via the instructions with the UT Graduate School. Learn more about Admissions.

**Note: Because of our assessment process to select cohort members, this Program deadline is earlier than the Univeristy GIAC deadline
University Requirements:
Submit Application to the UT Graduate School
All requirements must be received by the UT Graduate School by January 15th including:
· Completed UT Graduate School application
· 3 Letters of Reference via UT Graduate School email request
· Statement of Purpose
· Self-Presentation Paper (please refer to CSP Application Checklist above)
· GRE scores
· Official Transcripts
· Upload your Resume in CSP Format (see document below) to your graduate school
application via UT Graduate Admissions "Check My Status". This may be done 24-48 hours after submitting the Graduate School application. The resume must include your Teaching Service Record and Principal Certification or equivalent to be uploaded in the Miscellaneous documents.
· Service Record issued your ISD to be uploaded in the Miscelleanous documents section of the MyStatus page
· Principal Certification or equivalent, which includes TEA ID number, to be uploaded in the Miscellanous documents section of the MyStatus page.

Assessment Center: Selected candidates will be invited to participate in an assessment center conducted by CSP faculty and local leaders in education as part of the program selection process on Saturday, February 20, 2021.
*There is a $50.00 fee to be paid to the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy for the Assessment Center expenses. Please include student's name and UT EID on a check/money order (NO CASH) and make payable to UT-Austin. Proceeds may be used in general support of the College of Education.
