Presentation Notes
So why pursue an MBA for Executives from Sac State: CBA facts… We have a rich 60+ years history. One of the largest colleges on campus with over 5,000 students Strong network of alumni. CBA has graduated 40,000 people, 36,000 of which currently reside in the region – some notable alums include Tom Weiborg, Java City; Dale Carlson, Sleep Train; Patricia Cochran of VSP; Core Logic (2 entrepreneurs $400 mil) In 3 years we have graduated 15 MBA for executives cohorts totaling 475 alumni; and we have one more cohort slated to start this October, totaling 17. Endorsed by the business community, in fact, many area exes helped plan the design of the program so it would specifically meet the needs of this areas employers. Faculty is hand-selected by the Dean & must have significant practical experience as well as academic achievement Not everyone can teach from the CBA only 75 are qualified so it is a very esteemed opportunity There is also team teaching via co-instructors and guest lecturers, etc. – Bio’s on Website Only accredited EMBA (UCD working professional program is accredited but is like our on-campus MBA geared toward the nuts & bolts) & takes longer to finish and Drexel is similar and mainly done online since they have not been able to secure their East Coast faculty for their Sacramento campus it is also a longer program (24 months) AACSB - Strict standards of assessment The CBA has been accredited since 1963
