COLLEGE INTRODUCTION
The College of Science and Engineering (CSE) benefits from an

WHO CAN APPLY?To undertake exchange studies at CityU, students must satisfy ALL of the
following requirements:
• Have enrolled at one of our partner universities as a full-time student for
no less than one academic year.
• Meet the minimum academic “good standing” requirement at their
home university.
• Meet one of the English requirements* if English is NOT the medium of
instruction at their home university:
- TOEFL 79 (internet-based test) or above; OR
- IELTS 6.5 or above; OR
- Chinese Mainland’s College English Test (CET) Band 6 or above.
- Be nominated by their university’s international office or unit concerned.
*Remarks: The medium of instruction and assessment at CityU is English.
HOW TO APPLY?Applicants must complete the online application form and submit all the
required documents in ORIGINAL copy via their home university. Direct
applications will not be accepted.

application procedures, a list of the courses to be offered in each semester,
the academic calendar, immigration and visa requirements, enrolment and
accommodation arrangements.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?CityU waives tuition fees for exchange students in accordance with its
exchange agreements with partner institutions. However, students are required
to pay the tuition and study-related fees levied by their home institution. In
addition, they are also responsible for financing their travel, accommodation,
living expenses, visa, insurance, books and other expenses. Excluding the
accommodation, a monthly budget of around HK$4,500 (~US$577) should
be sufficient to cover meals, transport, laundry, books, study materials and
stationery.
