COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE (CA) COURSES OFFERED:

1. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) The BSA program aims to educate students in the scientific habit of thought, entrepreneurial skills and prepare them to become professionals with entry-level competencies in technical agriculture. It emphasizes the processes and techniques of identifying, diagnosing, and analyzing problems and in designing, packaging and applying technologies needed in the development and conservation of the agriculture and food system resources. BSA is closely related to the fields of agricultural engineering, agribusiness, agro-forestry, animal science and animal husbandry.

2. Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness (BSAB) The BSAB program aims to educate well-rounded professionals in agribusiness capable of meeting the national and global needs for highly trained managers, academics, researchers and extensionists and entrepreneurs. Agribusiness is closely related to the fields of agriculture, business, management economics, accountancy and public administration.

3. Bachelor of Science in Development Communication (BSDC) The BSDC program aims to develop communication professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills needed in teaching, managing and implementing communication programs for development.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

COLLEGE OF HOME ECONOMICS AND TECHNOLOGY (CHET) COURSES OFFERED:

1. Associate in Entrepreneurial Technology (AET) AET previews the different skills areas available in the college where they can be developed as entrepreneurs. It is a ladderized course towards

BSET.

2. Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Technology (BSET) The BSET is geared towards the development of entrepreneurs in the field of food, craft and clothing under two majors which are the following:

This is a straight program catering to Senior High School graduates of the academic strand under the Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) track. Provision for non-ABM graduates who wish to take the programs are stated on the next page.

Those from Non-member of Philippine Association of the State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) schools must validate courses taken from last school attended. **Grades with 2.0 or better need not be validated. Validation tests are given one week before enrolment.

Students from other colleges within the University who intend to transfer to College of Agriculture must consult the Dean.

BSAB

3. Bachelor of Science in Home Economics (BSHE) BSHE develops home economics professionals along home management, food trades, garment trades, crafts and beauty culture as teachers in elementary, secondary and technical-vocational courses; researchers; entrepreneurs; extension workers; and, technicians/supervisors in home economics related industries.

4. Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) The BS Hotel and Restaurant Management program aims to develop managers and supervisors in the hospitality industry. This is a straight program catering to Senior High School graduates of the academic strand under the Accountancy, Business Management (ABM) track. Provisions for non- ABM graduates who wish to take the program are provided below.

5. Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (BSND) The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics is a four –year program consisting of general education and professional courses. The first and

second semesters of the fourth year is devoted to field practice in hospital dietetics, food service, and community nutrition/public health nutrition.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEE) This course includes various areas of concentration such as Early Childhood Education; English; Filipino; Mathematics; Physical Education, Music

and Arts (PEMA); Social Studies; Science; Health; and Technology. It entails the acquisition of knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and experiences designed to provide prospective elementary teachers the necessary competencies essential for effective teaching.

2. Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) This course includes various major fields such as Biology; English; Filipino; Guidance and Counseling; Library Science; Mathematics; Physical

It is designed for the acquisition of knowledge, skills, proper attitudes and values, and experiences that will provide prospective teachers with the necessary competencies essential for effective teaching in the secondary level.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: New Student Transferees / Shifters

1. Must be a Senior High School graduate 2. Must have a general weighted average (GWA) of at least

85% or better in Senior High school 3. Must take the BSU – College Qualifying Examination and

meet the cut-off set by the college for the current school year.

1. Must have an average grade of 85% or better 2. Must take the BSU-College Qualifying Exam and meet the cut-off set by

the college for the current school year 3. Must not have deficiencies (Incomplete, Dropped, Failed) in courses

previously taken.

* Admission of transferees/ shifters shall depend on the availability of slots.

COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES

COURSES OFFERED: 1. Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics (BSAS) The Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics is a four-year course offered in the College of Arts and Sciences provides the student with knowledge

and skills in Applied Statistics. Aside from the theoretical aspect, students get acquainted with various statistical packages. To be technologically up-to-date and globally competitive, this program includes courses on computer-based statistical tools.

2. Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science (BSES) The BS Environmental Science Curriculum is an inter-disciplinary program which envisions to equip graduates with a holistic and integrative

knowledge system and skills in the solution of environmental problems which are not provided in Biology, Forestry, Engineering and other related curricula. This program then provides the much needed manpower to respond to the pressing needs of the contemporary times.

3. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) Information Technology is one of the most exciting and rapidly evolving university courses. Its importance in our everyday lives for personal and

professional work is highlighted with rapidly developing audio-visual and communication technologies. Learning starts from small individual

programming tasks, progressing to developing large team based systems. Teams will learn to design, build and maintain information systems using

current industry standard design and development life cycles. The course covers a wide range of topics including information management, database

management, network administration and software development life cycle.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be a Senior high school graduate, 2. Must have a general weighted average (GWA) in Senior

high school of at least 85% or better 3. Must have a BSU – College Qualifying Examination rating

of 90 or better, and 4. Must have a grade of 85% or better in Mathematics.

BSES

1. Must have a general weighted average (GWA) in Senior High school of at least 80% or better

3. Must have a BSU - College Qualifying Examination rating of at least 90 and of good moral character.

1. Must complete in the University not less than 50% of the required units for the course;

2. Must have a general weighted average (GWA) of 2.50/80% or better computed from the subjects he/she has taken regardless of the number of units finished;

3. Must earn a minimum IQ score of 90 or better from the college qualifying entrance examination, and of good moral character.

BSIT

1. Must be a Senior high school graduate, 2. must have a general weighted average (GWA) in Senior

high school of at least 85% 3. must have a BSU – College Qualifying Examination rating

of at least 110 or better 4. must have a grade of 85% or better in Mathematics.

1. Must have a general weighted average (GWA) grade of at least 85%, 2. must have a Benguet State University - College Qualifying Examination

rating of at least 110, and 3. must have a grade of 85% or better in Mathematics.

* However, he/she will be on probation for one semester and must pass all his/her subjects without any Incomplete or Dropped mark during the probation period. Otherwise, the student is advised to shift to another degree program.

COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND APPLIED TECHNOLOGY (CEAT)

COURSES OFFERED: 1. Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering (BSA Eng’g ) /(Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering-

BSABE) Agricultural Engineering is a profession that uses engineering science in agriculture. The following are the major professional interests: Agricultural Power and Machinery Soil and Water

2. Basic Automotive Technology (Basic Autotech) This certificate includes the following courses: Automotive Electricity Automotive Under-chassis Mechanic

3. Advanced Automotive Technology (Advanced Autotech) A certificate that follows the Basic Automotive Technology and has the following components: Advance automotive electricity, electronics and under-chassis Advance engine mechanic Metal works, oxy-acetylene welding, automotive body repair and

painting

COLLEGE OF FORESTRY (CF) COURSE OFFERED:

1. Bachelor of Science in Forestry (BSF)

The BSF degree is intended for students who wish to specialize in Forestry. To earn the degree, the students must earn to earn at 177 units for the general curriculum. The new BSF curriculum is K-12 ready and is composed of about a year of General Elective courses and three years of Core and Major Courses.

The BSF degree is intended for students who took the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) track but other tracks may be accepted as long as they are willing to undergo the bridging program.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

Fresh Graduate from High School / New Student Transferees / Shifters

1. Must be a Senior High School graduate, 2. Must have a general weighted average (GWA) of 80% or better in

Senior High School 3. Must have a BSU – College Qualifying Examination rating of 90 or

better 4. Must be fit for the course requirement of field works (Medical

Certificate) 5. Must be of Good Moral Character (Certificate of Good Moral

Character from principal), and 6. Two (2) 2”x2” recent ID pictures with Name Tag.

1. Must have finished Senior High School prior to entering the college 2. Must submit application letter 1 month before shifting/ transferring 3. Must submit True Copy of Grades/ Official Transcript of Record, College

Clearance/ Copy of Honorable Dismissal 4. Two 2”x 2” recent ID pictures with Name Tag 5. Should pass the BSU- College Qualifying Examination (For non-BSU students)

and the Qualifying Examination Rating should be at least 90 6. Must not have more than two failing grades and incomplete grades; 7. Must have a general weighted average of 2.65 or better for incoming

Sophomore students. .

* Acceptance of students will be based on rank or quota system (2 sections per school year)

COLLEGE OF NURSING (CN) COURSE OFFERED:

1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) The BSN Program is a four-year course designed to prepare student to function competently as a professional nurse in any health care setting.

Professional courses begin in the first year and threads through the development of competencies up to the fourth year level. The BSN program provides an intensive nursing practicum that will refine clinical skills from the first year level to ensure basic clinical competencies required of a beginning nurse practitioner.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be a graduate of Senior High School duly recognized by the Department of Education (Dep Ed); 2. Must be presently enrolled in Senior High School during the application period. 3. Must have an average of 83% or better in both Junior and Senior High School Level 4. Must meet the criteria set by the College Executive Council:

4.1 must have a Benguet State University – College Qualifying Examination rating of 90 or better and belong to the top 150 4.2 if the number of students who garnered a score of 90 or better will not complete the prescribed roster of students, the College Executive Council

shall set the score * Students are admitted only to the first year level during the first semester. * A Graduate of a College Course, Transferee from other schools and a shifter from other courses are not allowed.

COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE (CVM) COURSE OFFERED:

1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) DVM is a six-year course with two years preparatory courses and four years professional courses. It is a program designed to prepare the students to

become Doctors of Veterinary Medicine or otherwise known as Veterinarian. Veterinarians specialize in the study, treatment and control of animal injuries and disease.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: New Student Transferees / Shifters

1. Must be a Senior High School graduate of STEM track 2. Must have a general weighted average (GWA) of at least 82% in

Senior high school 3. Must have a Benguet State University – College Qualifying

Examination rating of 90 or better 4. Must submit Senior High school report card (Form 138) marked

eligible, certificate of good moral character, birth certificate and two (2) 2”x2”ID.

1. Must not have failing grades and no dropped subjects during the previous semester/s,

2. Should pass the Benguet State University – Qualifying Examination, and 3. Must have a general weighted average of at least 2.0 or 85 %. * Transferees from non-members of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) must validate and pass the course for accreditation one week before enrolment. * For those who wish to take DVM as 2nd Degree, they have to pass the National Veterinary Admission Test (NVAT).

INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION (IPA) COURSE OFFERED:

1. Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) The BPA is a degree that aims to prepare and develop public servants with the required knowledge, values and skills to serve as professionals in

public administration and governance for the public interest.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Fresh graduates from High school/ New student: Transferees/shifters:

1. Must be a Senior High School graduate. 2. Should pass the Benguet State University-College Qualifying

Examination. 3. Must have grade of 82% or better in English 4. Must have a general weighted average (GWA) of 80% or better

in Senior High School.

1. Must submit certified copy of academic records (must have passed at least 50% of subjects enrolled in the previous semester).

2. Should pass the Benguet State University- College Qualifying Examination. 3. Must not have deficiencies (Incomplete, Dropped, Failed marks) in course

previously taken.

INSTITUTE OF HUMAN KINETICS COURSE OFFERED:

1. Bachelor of Physical Education Major in School P.E. (SPE)

The BPE major in School Physical Education is a curricular program for teacher Education that shall prepare the graduates to be equipped with skills and abilities to help every learner the following: appreciate the meanings of every movement; involve physical experiences and practice in various physical activities; process optimum participation to obtain physical, mental and social skills; maximize opportunity to an enjoyable physical experiences contributory to health improvement, facilitate movement efficiency and proficiency and deliver achievement for total fitness and wellness.

Major in Sports and Wellness Management (SWW)

The BPE major in Sports and Wellness Management is a curricular program for Corporate Industry that shall prepare graduates with necessary knowledge skills in various Sports, Fitness and Recreation Activities; provide program opportunities for sports, fitness and recreation ad faculty management, exposure to business and corporate career achievement; engagement in sports, wellness, fitness economics and litigations and meet various need in changing world towards enjoyable physical activity and sports experiences for quality life of the clients.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be a Senior High school graduate. 2. Must have a Benguet State University – College Qualifying Examination rating of 110 or better; 3. Must have a general weighted average (GWA) in Senior High school of at least 80% 4. Must be physically fit 5. Must pass the motor achievement test 6. Must submit the following documents: Form 137 and 138, Certificate of Good Moral Character, Original copy of NSO Birth Certificate,

Medical Certificate, 2x2 ID picture with white background *Applications will be considered from individuals who can demonstrate their experience, skills and learning sufficient for them to undertake and complete the course *For athletes – a certification of achievement as athlete during regional, national competitions from their coaches is an advantage

4. Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) / Benguet State University - Local Government Unit ( BSU-LGU) Grantees (Baguio City & Benguet only) Requirements:

DILG Certification, Accomplishment Report, General Weighted Average of 80% or better
