Participants will be provided with useful strategies to analyze their students’ Fountas and Pinnell levels to regroup during Guided Reading and/or Literature Circle instructions. Strategies to improve reading comprehension and fluency will also be shared during the workshop. Please bring your current Fountas and Pinnell assessments and computer group to the workshop. We will analyze the data to make the best decisions to drive your group instruction.

An Extension of the Classroom: Using your district website to enhance student learning
Grades PS-12

Participants will be given a “hands on” training of Website development using the District provided website service. A guided walk through of the app suite, its function, and potential classroom applications will be provided. Topics will include an introduction to the classroom website and its navigation, using the website for peer collaboration, assessment reflection, application of a “flipped classroom”, and more. Participants will be asked to bring their laptops as they will be able to update their website during the seminar.

Google Classroom is great tool that allows teachers to manage lessons, assignments and communication - all within the Google environment. With Google Classroom, a teacher can create announcements, share links, share materials, and create assignments that sends each student a copy of a Google Document, Sheet or Presentation. Everything shared with the students is in one place for easy access.
In this workshop, you will learn about the environment, create a class, and practice sending announcements and assignment to students.
