    Lessons Learned

    Development requires more than electrification. Donor

    agencies have to work together to ensure convergence of

    initiatives.

    Local institutional development and participation are crucial

    to relevance of electrification efforts.

    Sustainability of off-grid systems requires that the

    community be given competency training and continuinglinkage with external support organizations.

    Some technology options need rethinking.
