and Pesticide (ASD). The ASD Training aimed to educate stakeholders on
the Presidential Decree 1144; general fertilizer and pesticide information;
handling and storage; transport and distribution; poisoning and first aid;
and other related topics on the regulation of fertilizer and pesticide.

National Crop Protection Council, CADS and UPLB.

Annual Scientific Conference of the Pest Management Council of the Philippines,
Inc. “The theme for this symposium “Strategic Pest Management…beyond ASEAN
Integration” reflects the reality of today’s call for more reliable and efficient farm
management and strategies so that we could cope up with global
advancements in food security and safety around the world,” he said.

The FPA celebrated its 40th Anniversary with the entire FPA Family and all fertilizer and
pesticide industry players and stakeholders. Activities included were: fiesta; 70s-theme
dance contest; red carpet night; cotillion; awarding of employees; and socials night.
“Through the four decades of its existence, the FPA has grown gradually, addressing
issues and concerns as they come, and coping up with the complex demands of the
industry and the agriculture sector. And as a former member of the fertilizer industry, I
have witnessed how the FPA has been true to its mandate.”
Celebrating 40 years of FPA milestone
