Now in their 6th year, the Guernsey Property & Construction Awards recognise and reward those who consistently offer excellence, technical expertise, and whose focus is always the customer first and foremost.

HOW THE AWARDS WORK

The awards promote excellence, best practice and innovation in Guernsey’s property & construction sectors, and highlight their importance in today’s business climate.

The range of awards categories recognise the most important activities and are open to public nominations for the whole industry spectrum, commerce and the public sector.

The awards give employees the opportunity to shine and receive public reward and recognition for their endeavours.

It is also the opportunity for companies and organisations to showcase their success stories and how they are excelling within their own businesses.

For a six-week period during the summer months, the public, employees, and businesses themselves have the opportunity to nominate an individual or team who they think is deserving of recognition. It is free to nominate and can be done by completing a simple nomination form, found online on the official website: www.guernseyconstructionawards.com. It takes just two minutes.

The nominations are then collated into their various categories and an independent judging panel uses their professional experience to pick three finalists in each of the categories. These finalists will then have a potential site visit to ensure complete integrity of the awards.

This is a fun, black-tie event, where all finalists are invited to bring along their partners and friends, and all organisations are invited to bring along their clients.

It takes place on Thursday 12 November 2020, and includes arrival drinks, sumptuous dinner, entertainment – and often a few surprises too!

Stunning bespoke trophies are presented to the winners.

Delivering such a big event on the island with a small team is always a challenge, and every year we have learned new lessons that have allowed us to grow. We are constantly looking for new ideas and ways to improve engagement with the island’s property and construction community.
