Every new year always brings renewed excitement and expectations of things to come, but also reflection on the previous year. I believe 2016 was an excellent year for Coleman Middle School. Our students excelled in academics, sports, music, art, performance art and community service. People say, "If it isn't broke, don't fix it," but I am not one to accept complacency. Coleman's staff is always striving for perfection by giving our very best each and every day. I am confident that 2017 will be another year of solid growth for our staff and students. We will continue to work collaboratively with our community in order to meet the needs of each and every one of our students so that they may reach their optimal potential. Enjoy the holidays and spend lots of time with your family. See you back at school on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017. PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Parents and Students,

It is time to close out the calendar year of 2016 and welcome in 2017. See you back at school on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017.

field trip chaperones for an upcoming 8th grade field trip. It is important to know that any field trip for any grade now requires a parent to complete the district volunteer application online (this replaces the previous paper SERVE form). This process can take up to 2 months. If you think you might want to chaperone for any field trip, please take a

few minutes and click on the link below where it says 'Click here to Volunteer'. It is a very quick process.

Although it was hard to return to school so early in August, our students can now really enjoy these weeks off with semester exams already behind us. Have a fabulous holiday break!
