The case study covers the major factors of AIG’s failures in the Financial Crisis and its implications on Public Policy. Our team for this case study recommended specific regulations for the Swaps market to benefit shareholder interest and institutional accountability. Comparing the Monthly Returns of General Electric to the Returns of the S&P500 Index Fall 2015 Computed two-tailed hypothesis tests for 115 months (2005 to 2015) of GE and S&P stock returns and ran 2-variance test through GRETL. The observations showed normal distribution and the returns showed a positive correlation. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Florida State University- Quantitative Research Analyst: DIS program July 2015- July 2016 Mentored by Dr. Sam Staley, Managing Director of Research, who delegated between the department of research and Tallahassee. Benchmarked the Tallahassee government’s multi-million dollar municipal budget from the past 5 fiscal years to precisely execute new policy strategies. Gathered empirical data to provide to the City of Tallahassee in spotting any inefficiencies within their budget. Analyzed and forecasted public and financial policies for city departments in Tallahassee. Drafted multiple pieces concerning tax dollar allocations and policy inefficiencies to improve funding for the departments. North Florida Financial Corporation- Finance Intern August 2015- May 2016 Worked with senior financial advisor Robin Vernon and assisted in client meetings and performing due diligence. Assessed information important for recommended investments and organize data for client portfolios. Prepared balance sheets, reviewed portfolio statements, and information from reports to The Living Balance Sheet software. Took training seminars with senior partners teaching financial data management, forecasting, advising, and long-term pay out plans. Pi Kappa Phi- Budget & Finance Chairman January 2014- January 2015 Established and executed a $250,000 yearly budget for 150-member organization and managed all records with Treasurer. Ensured that all finance and collections methods of the chapter were followed in accordance with standards of national regulations.
