A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams, (Dr. William A Ward). Houses are not just buildings people

live in to stay safe, it is where people make their life and raise a family. My house is more than just a house, it is a home. It is a place where

I can go to find love, understanding, and guidance.

Home is a place you grow up wanting to leave, and grow old wanting to get back to (John Ed Pearce). Love is a main ingredient to mak-

ing a house a home. In my home there are four people, including me. I have my brother, mother, and father. With us, comes a lot of love. We

always take time to do activities together, whether it is eating dinner, going to the movies or the beach, or playing games, we make time for

family time. My parents unquestionably show love in our home by attending school events, whether it is my brothers or mine. Not only is

love important, but understanding as well.

Home is not where you live, but where they understand you (Christian Morganstern). Understanding is also an important attribute to

find in a home, and is found in mine. It is always important to have people you can go to for help and advice and know that they will not

judge you or make fun of you. In my home, I know that I can always come home and know that I will not be judged or made fun of, but will

be offered advice or guidance when I need it. With understanding comes guidance.Guidance is another vital quality to have in a home. If there is no guidance in a home, then the home could eventually break down into just

a house. Guidance is crucial because someone, especially children, need to have someone there for them to help lead the way. In my home,

I am lucky enough to have two people for that; my parents. My parents have always been there for my brother and I to help lead the way,

set examples for us, and be our role models. If someone doesnt have the guidance needed, they could end up in trouble either at school or

with the law.

In conclusion, my house is a home. To me, it is more than just a building to call safety, but a place where I know I can always find love,

understanding, and guidance. A place that I am thrilled to live my life. A place where I am blessed to call my home.
