While sitting in my backyard

on this cheerful and beautiful

afternoon, I was trying to

come up with a unique

reason why my house was a home, and I

was struggling. However, after only a few

minutes I had an epiphany. It dawned on me

how simply I could answer this question. My

family is the one and only reason why my

house is a home. As much of a clich as that

may seem, it really is the only honest and

heartfelt response I can give.

My mom cooks delicious food daily. She

provides me with advice, dances and goofs

around with me, watches girly shows withme, and will always be there. Likewise,

my dad is always there for me and has

great advice. He also listens to great music,

barbeques awesome food, and tells hilarious

jokes. Finally, my younger brother Ryan

provides me with a good laugh whenever I

may need one, constant guitar playing, and

is a friend I know I can always count on. For

my entire life, my family has been of the

upmost importance. I know it would not

make a difference in the world what size of

house we lived in, what state, or even what

country. My house will always feel like a

home. My home is not where I live, but it is

whom I live with. My definition of home has

no possessions associated with it. My home is

only a home because of my family.
