Effect of Branding

Several factors influenced the surveyed when buying Cola

• These are: Flavour, Price, Advertising and Quality.

• 17 of the surveyed thought that sweeter Cola was of worse quality to other Colas.

• 13 people thought that cheaper brands were of lesser quality.

• 2 people thought that specific brands (Pepsi and Pams) were of lesser quality.

Effect of Complements

• Some of the surveyed bought Cola to complement their Fast Food purchases.

• 19 of the surveyed bought Cola with their meal, either as a standalone product or included in the deal.

• 11 people did not buy Cola with their Fast Food.

Healthy Food and Drink Trends

• The surveyed were asked about their purchase of Cola over the last 10 years.

• 19 of the surveyed decreased their quantity of Cola purchased due to healthier drinking trends.

• 3 of the surveyed were not swayed by healthier drinking trends

• 5 of the surveyed increased their quantity of Cola purchased due to increased income.

Effect of Income on Cola

• The surveyed were asked if they would reduce their Cola purchased if their income was halved.

• 21 people would decrease their Cola purchased for more important items.

• 5 would decrease their Cola purchased for more money to buy healthier food.

• 8 people would not change their Cola purchases.

• In summary, many factors influenced the surveyed on their Cola purchases.

• The price influenced people the most on which brand of Cola they purchased.

• Colas that are too sweet were unattractive to the buyer.

• Most buyers have decreased their purchasing over Cola in the last 10 years due to healthy drinking trends.
