PSR Information & Updates
PSR Parent Orientation Meetings…. Parents of enrolled
PSR students are required to attend an informational meeting on
the following date:
Monday PSR classes…………... Parent mtg. on Monday, September 18th
Family Based Catechesis….…. Parent mtg. on Tuesday, September 19th
Wednesday PSR classes…..Parent mtg. on Wednesday, September 20th
All parent meetings will be at 7:00 PM in the gym.

September 24th

Classes begin at 6:45 PM and end at 8:00 PM
Called to be a Catechist?? If you thought about stepping forward
to be a catechist, but are afraid of the commitment, we could use
your talent as a substitute on an as needed basis. Please call the
Parish Office for details.
Hurricane Harvey Relief Collection…. The Catholic Diocese of
Cleveland in union with the US Conference of Catholic Bishops will
take part in an emergency monetary collection to assist the victims
of Hurricane Harvey. The collection will take place this weekend, in
all parishes of the Diocese. The funds collected will be used both
to support the humanitarian and recovery efforts of Catholic Chari-
ties USA and to provide pastoral and rebuilding support to impact-
ed dioceses. If you choose to donate by check, make the check
payable to Holy Trinity Parish with Hurricane Harvey in the memo.

The Noon Wednesday Mass has resumed now that our
school children are back.
JOIN CUB SCOUTS…. Pack 462 is a Cub Scout Pack chartered
by Holy Trinity Catholic School in Avon. Our Year coincides with
the school year and we will have our Kickoff Meeting on Sep-
tember 21st at 6:00 PM in St. Mary’s School Cafeteria. Mem-
bership is open to all boys in Grades 1 through 5 in Avon and
surrounding communities. Boys do not need to be Catholic to

LADIES GUILD will hold their first meeting of the season on Mon-
day, September 11th at 7 PM in the Preschool Modular Bldg. All
ladies of the parish are welcome to join. BAPTISM PREP CLASS ….. The next class will be on Thursday,
September 14th at 7:00 PM in the Modular Bldg. Please register
by calling the Parish Office at 440 937 5363. Our Baptism prepa-
ration program introduces parents to the Rite of Baptism and the
role that parents and godparents are called to fulfill in the faith
formation of children. Parents should attend one Baptism Prepa-
ration prior to the Baptism of their first child or if it has been great-
er than five years since they last attended.
CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL NIGHT… Holy Trinity School will host a
Catholic High School Night on Thursday, September 21 from
6:30—8:00 PM. Admissions directors and staff from each school
will conduct presentations and take questions at 6:30, 7:00 and
7:30 PM. No registration is necessary. The schools in attendance
will be:
WINTER CYO REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN. Registration for the
2017-18 CYO basketball and cheer seasons will remain open
through September 30th. Cost is $145 for basketball and $65
for cheer. You can access more information including the regis-

CATHOLIC FAMILY DAY AT PROGRESSIVE FIELD… Sunday, Octo-
ber 1st… Game time is 3:10 PM vs. Chicago White Sox. Mass will

offer code is: Catholic and the offer expires on September 10th. GRIEF SUPPORT…..Catholic Cemeteries Association Monthly Grief
Support Sunday. Please join us for an hour of sharing, listening,
learning and healing along your grief journey. We do not want you
to grieve alone. The next gathering is Sunday, September 17th at
3 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery….on Detroit Road in Avon. No regis-
tration is required; come as you are and join us. For more infor-

Next weekend, September 16/17th the local Order of the Alham-
bra will be at Holy Trinity to collect donations. All proceeds benefit
the physically and mentally challenged children in our area. Al-
hambra members will be standing at all entrances before and
after all Masses next weekend. Thank you in advance for your
generosity.

Family Perspective LISTENING!! It sounds so easy, but it can be difficult. Our reaction might be to advise, correct or direct. That isn’t listening! Pope Francis reminds us families are holy ground and listening requires reverence. Listening deepens relationships, develops trust and conveys love and under-standing. It also allows us to discover God’s presence in the encounter, for Christ tells us, “Wherever two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in their midst.”
