COIN 2K16 REPORT 

           Date of event:(16th ­17th September)

“Coin 2k16”  came up with a blast. With the enthusiasm and pompous attitude we looked forward to this day. It  was a mind hunting and refreshing routine. As the saying goes ‘all work, no play makes jack a dull boy’. This time coin included a variety  of new games according to our latest trends including pokemon hunt. This was also a way to familiarize our new students of  1st  year to the college Judi.  They actively participated. 

PAPER PRESENTATION :

The event ruminated with the opening ceremony on 16th September. All the faculties and students were present. Coin 2016 was called open. The chain of events started. The first was ‘paper presentation’ in which the participants were to make a power point  presentation  and present   it   to   the   judges.  This  marked  the  confidence  and oratory skill of the students. Many students participated and spoke with clarity. The best were rewarded. The winners of paper presentation were: 1 st  ­ KV Pooja, Priya Patil & 2nd – Sweta Sahu, Sonali Satpathy

DEBATE :

The   second   event   was   ‘debate’.   This   required   the   participants   to   discuss   on   a particular topic in which one team is supposed to speak on the topic and the other against it. The winners of this game were: 1st – Khyati Gandhi & Sonali Hiranandani  

2nd – Sanjay Dey, Milan Prajapati & Priyank Kamani

VIRTUAL PLACEMENT :

To get an overall view and prepare ourselves for our professional life ahead we had an   event   of   ‘Virtual   Placement’.   It   included   three   rounds   aptitude   test,   group discussion and personal interview. The participants needed to qualify all  the three rounds in order to get a virtual placement. 

The winners were 1st – Sonali Hiranandani & 2nd – Amul Luniya

FIFA(LAN GAMING):

One other event was the LAN gaming ‘FIFA’. The world­famous football gaming for all the football lovers participant were to select their favourite team n play football on computer. The game was in accordance to FIFA. The emerged winners were: 1st – Ahmad Godil   &   2nd – Ajay Patel                                                                   

IC’S GOT TALENT :

The other nontechnical game was ‘IC got talent’. This event was a platform for the students to show their extra­curricular talents. Apart from technical skills the students had tremendous other speciality. All the performance were mind blowing and the event as whole was enjoyable as a viewer. The winners were: dance – Jash Desai  &  Singing­ Devanshi Jani                                                                       

SMART CITY :

A new event included was smart city. The participants were given pictures of different  area of Surat city they were to work in group of two and give their own logic to make the area smart. Unique and excellent ideas came out. The ideas were presented in front of judges.

winners   were:   1st  –   Fenil   Reshamwala,   Sanket   Patel   &   Mohit   Raninga. 2nd – Patel Savan & Manan Chevli

ENGINEER’S EYE :

‘Engineer’s eye’ as the name suggest was a fun technical event. There were 3 rounds. 1st  was a crossword puzzle 2nd  was the memory game and 3rd  was presentation of some component commercially. The students which qualified all the rounds won: 

Winners :  1st­Harshangi Patel & Shivam Patel         

                  2nd – Sweta Sahu & Sonali Satpathy.

POKEMON HUNT :

As the trend of Pokémon has taken over so was the game. Event of ‘Pokémon hunt’ had heavy participation. The participants  were to hunt Pokémon in order  to earn points   within   the   stipulated   time.   They   needed   to   know   the   strengths   of   their respective Pokémon. The winners were: 

Winners : 1st – Elvis Coelho, zaiwan buhariwala& Zubin buhariwala        

                2nd ­ chirag vankawala,Sharma satyaprakash& sadiq shaikh.

TECHNO­HUNT :

The  last  event  was   the   ‘techno hunt’.   It  had 2  rounds.  1st  was   the  basic  general knowledge quiz and the 2nd round was hunt for the treasure! Definitely a component for an engineer.

 The winners were: 1st manan chevli & Abdullah 

                                    2nd –Elvis Coelho & rinkesh patel.

This marked the end of events and greatly enjoyable two days. The coin was held  closed with the closing ceremony. The winners were awarded with trophy as a token of   achievement   and   the   participants   were   given   certificate   for   giving   their   best. Speeches were made by faculties. This was the end of COIN 2016.
