Coil vessel:
This is a type of ceramics that you build
using snake-coils.
For this sculpture, you do not have to
create a container, or functional pottery
You can chose to create more of a
sculptural design.
Elements: Line: A line is a path of a point
moving in space. It can vary in
width, direction and length
Elements: Space: space refers to distances or
areas around, between or within
components of a piece.
Space can be
POSITIVE or
NEGATIVE
Principles: Movement: Movement shows actions, or
the path of the viewer's eye as it follows
throughout an artwork.
Principles: Rhythm and Pattern:
showing consistency with
colors or lines. It is
indicating movement by
the repetition of
elements.

Trim and smooth imperfections and detail
Should be wet enough to attach objects to clay
Place on back shelf on your class shelf
Create a completed drawing of your coil vessel

This will be turned in and graded.
