Definition : Cognitive Apprenticeship
• Learning within a relationship with a more expert practitioner of the skill to be learned.
• A strategy for teaching complex mental behaviors to increase the emphasis on thinking or inquiry skills.

• Involve students in learning as apprentices: work alongside students and/or set up situations that will cause students to begin to work on problems even before fully understanding them.
