VelosophyAs an independent bicycle manufacturer, we at MTB Cycletech have been following our own path since 1984. Motivation, quality and timeless design have served as our guide-lines; innovation and pioneering developments are the fruits of our persistent work. Out of a love for detail, we develop our products ourselves from the scratch up and redesign them time and again to ensure that they always meet the highest demands for daily use in efficiency and suitability. Customization is our service to the customer; own development, own assembly and individual sale on site is our strategy to flexibly accommodate individual customer requests. Design & Engineering

Battery integration

We integrated the new batteries so that additional weight and position have no noticeable effect on the ride performance of our Code. For the Series, an integrated battery with long range capacity is used.

Gates™ Carbon Drive

The carbon fiber-reinforced elastomer belt from Gates™ is a long-lasting drive solution. Operating grease-free, the belt persuades with its extreme tensile strength. Ideal for an e-bike.

Code frame

The challenge with the Code is to offer a sporty S-pedelec with integrated battery and gearbox transmission that also functions with smaller frame sizes. Thanks to our sliding aluminum dropouts and the belt splitter, it can be used with both chain and Gates™ belt.

Pinion gearbox bridge

The Code Pinion bridge enables clean and yet elegant integration of the Pinion gearbox in the frame. A seemingly seamless transition to the downtube and to the chain stays results. It is produced using a forging process with outstanding material properties.

Neodrives system

Neodrives is an e-mobility brand of Alber GmbH, a company that has specialized in electro- mobility. The know-how is based on versatile, portable mobility aids for wheelchair users.For more than five years, focus has also been on drive components for electric bicycles. The development, manufacturing and assembly of all electromotors and components are located at the Alber location in Albstadt (Germany). One of the best service providers on the e-bike market, the company provides fast and uncomplicated help in the event of a complaint.

MMI display & TWISTLOCK remote

These two components serve as the information head- quarters of your Code. The easy-to-read, 2” MMI 20c display persuades with very good contrast, even in bright sunshine. Thanks to the intuitive operation of the TWIST-LOCK remote lever, everything is under control right from the handlebar, even when riding.

Rear motors Z20 / Z20 RS

The directly operating, gearless rear motor is the heart of the «neodrives system». The latest technologies make it even most robust and powerful. Z20 (25 km/h) and Z20RS (45 km/h) persuade with low noise and low maintenance of the components. neodrives: versatile, dynamic, silent – and very reliable.

BMZ UR-V8 battery

The Code comes an integrated lithium-ion downtube battery from BMZ Germany, to guarantee a central weight distribution and an optimally used installation space . The Code 25 uses a battery with a capacity of 626 Wh, the Code 45 one with a capacity of 650 Wh.

Pinion gearbox transmissions

The idea behind the Pinion central gearbox was born in the Porsche gearbox development center in Weissach (Germany). The founders were driven by the idea of developing a bicycle transmission that functions as intuitively, precisely and as wear-free as in a sports car. We have been using Pinion gearboxes in our models for six years. With the Code Series, the C-Line with 9 and 12 gears is used. In combination with a rear motor, this results in harmonious riding comfort, reducing wear on the drive. «The new shape of shifting».

Pinion C-Line & DS2 rotary shifter

The compact magnesium housing of the C-Line is 33% lighter than aluminium. New manufacturing processes and extremely high precision allow new lightweight alloys to be used. Integration also has top priority. With the Code, we integrate brake lines and electric cables out of sight under the gearbox. The package is rounded off with the DS2 rotary shifter. This convinces with the intuitive shifting operation. The grip, developed together with Ergon, makes shifting possible in the wet, cold, heat as well as under heavy load.
