Principal’s Report

Welcome to term 3 and we hope everyone had an enjoyable

holiday.

As most of you are aware the school hosted Storm Co during

the holidays and this was a great success again this year.

Unfortunately some of our students didn’t have the best of holi-

days with a number of injuries recorded. Amongst our students

there were: 2 broken fingers, a broken wrist, a fractured ankle

and a broken leg.

Following the heavy rain it has become necessary to postpone

the school’s Athletics Carnival. Weather permitting it will now

be held on Friday in week 2. Because of this there will be no

scripture or assemblies in week 2. For our students to be eligi-

ble for selection to compete at regional level we must hold our

carnival by the end of next week. We apologise for any incon-

venience this may cause.

The change to our playground areas went extremely well this

week. Wet weather meant that we ran to our new wet weather

timetable for most days, though this too went smoothly. Our

students treated each other with respect and it was wonderful to

see the senior students assisting the infants.

Imani George

RESPONSIBLE RESPECTFUL

LEARNER

Wow, Ernie sure is impressed by Imani! We are

very lucky that she has come to Cobar Public

School. Imani always walks safely around the

school and follows teacher instructions. She is

always in the right place and uses equipment for

its purpose. Imani has beautiful manners and is a

sensible member of our school. Ernie says keep

up the great work Imani!

Ernie has been watching Lucy since she arrived

at Cobar Public School. He has noticed her

in class and in the playground being respectful

towards teachers, other students and

volunteers in the canteen. Lucy has lovely

manners, always speaks politely and takes

turns. She has been a wonderful helper in the

school garden. Well done Lucy!

Ernie was blown away by the efforts of Vincent

Mitchell when he visited MCF in Term 2. Vincent was

being prepared for his learning by collecting the

equipment he required for his learning activities.

When he organised himself, he listened carefully to

his teacher’s instructions. Vincent you are a STAR!

$25.00 for one student or $40.00 for a family.

As in previous years, funds raised will be accumulated over the next twelve months. Cobar Public School P & C will then determine what

major capital works project will be supported by these funds.

If electing to contribute, please complete the slip below and return with funds to the Admin. Office. Thank you to those parents and carers

who have already elected to contribute for the benefit of our students. Your support is appreciated.
