Manns Harbor Access Area
The Manns Harbor Marina in Dare County had falleninto disrepair and had been bought by developers whowere planning on building condominiums on the site. But before construction could begin, the realestatemarket collapsed and the project never movedforward. The residents of Manns Harbor saw it as anopportunity to create a working waterfront that wasmuch more in keeping with the fishing village. The state purchased the land and the project took off.On February 13 the public is invited to see this oneofakind project that the Coastal Federation helped tobroker. Guests can tour the new N.C. WildlifeResources Commission's boat ramp whererecreational and commercial fishermen will be workingtogether. For more information [email protected].
